As part of the annual Taste East Devon Festival, come and join us for an evening of food and beer, laughter and lively conversation at this well known and much loved pub!

Enjoy a tasty 4 course menu (+ a welcome drink) with each dish paired to a different half pint of our craft beer.

Our brewer will be on hand to talk you through what goes on behind the scenes and answer any questions whilst Craig and Miranda look after you in style.

Camping, BBQ's, garden time, party time! The bank holiday weather looks like a mixed bag as always. So how about a mixed case of beer to go with it? From Yellow Hammer and Citra IPA to our newer, more hoppier beers like Simco and Devon Born Ale, we have something tasty for you. Located 3 miles outside of Exeter on the main road to Crediton (A377), our on-site shop is open to 5pm every day this week (until Friday evening). Drop in, we'd love to see you!

When good neighbours become good friends. Jonathan's barley forms the base of all our beers - in fact, it's one of just four natural ingredients that goes into creating a pint of Hanlons. A great example of a local brewery working with a local farm to fully utilise (and help sustain) the bounty that comes from our beautiful Mid Devon landscape. We'd say that's a win/win!

It’s THAT time of year. The barley harvest provides the brewer with their most important raw ingredient. Without it, there simply wouldn’t be any beer. We’re very lucky here in mid Devon to be surrounded by these fields of gold, as well as farmers happy to toil under the noonday sun. It’s a golden, zesty and very approachable beer with citrus notes that’s also aromatic and fruity on the nose…. perfect for a summer session.

As a small, family-run team dedicated to making the finest cask ales, we’re very proud that Yellow Hammer has become something of an icon here in Devon. It’s best enjoyed with friends, ideally in a beer garden with the sun on your back, where one pint invariably leads to another!
