When you’re so busy grafting you forget to update your socials……..again 🙄😮‍💨

Resolution for 2024 is more updates! 💪🏼

What seemed to be a simple fix for this faulty shower did not quite work out that way. Access to the shower valve was required to fix this fault. Simple I hear you say? 🤔 Well it might have been an easy sort……The shower valve was only found once the shower tray had been removed and it was buried 4ft under the tray! Not the smartest of moves by the previous installer 😳 New style shower was fitted with a new tray and wrapped with some fresh tile effect aqua panelling. Smart, easy maintenance and looking tidy 👌🏻

This transformation was a bit different to my usual as the room started as a bedroom. The customer requested a bigger and more spacious bathroom so that is exactly what they got. Walls were removed and rebuilt to maximise space. Stud work was created to allow for modern shower shelves accompanied with a new large walk in shower and bath. The warm chocolate brown aqua panelling is a stunning contrast to your normal bathroom themes - I can see this becoming increasingly popular! All work was overseen onsite by a four legged supervisor and given the paws up 👍🏼🐾 Just a few finishing touches to be completed by the customer to make this room complete 💪🏼

Did you know Gas Engineers have to redo their gas qualification every 5years to comply with gas safety regulations? It’s also a great way to keep up to date with any changes to the law. Last week I attended and completed my gas renewal in Plymouth. On a brighter note only 1823 days until it’s due again! 🤣

Another day, another bathroom upgrade 🛁🚿🚽

Have a peek at one of the many latest bathroom upgrades that has recently been completed 👀

This project was structurally in need of some TLC - as you can see from the second photo this bathroom is a victim of subsidence due to a leak from the underground drainage. Once rectified and safe to proceed we whipped up this little beauty of a bathroom transformation 🤩

Stripped back to its brick canvas the brickwork was made good followed by a reboarding with moisture plasterboard. A little different this time as the customer requested more of a feature wall with the tiles. The deep emerald tiles are a eye catching burst of colour within the room. The remaining wall space has been aqua panelled making cleaning the bathroom a quick and easy chore. A few finishing touches still needed from the home but what a smart finish we have achieved already 😁

Another week and another bathroom completed 🛀 🛁 🚰 🚿 🚽

This bathroom was last installed by myself over 10 years ago. The returning customer was needing a change from a bath to a shower so this is exactly what we did. We gave the whole room an uplift and changed from tiles to low maintenance and easy clean aqua panelling. Whilst the bathroom is much more practical for the customers needs it’s not been compromised on style.

All bathrooms are completed to suit your budget and your needs always 👌

⭐️ Bathroom Refurb ⭐️

This bathroom was completed just before Christmas for a new customer. This customer requested a more open, modern and fresher bathroom………mission accomplished 👌

Bathroom suite was ripped out along with the flooring and adjoining bedroom wall. A new stud wall put 300mm into the bedroom making the bathroom space noticeably bigger. New bathroom floorboards were fitted to replace the rotten floor from an old leak. Aqua panelled all but one wall for a fresh look and easy maintenance. New malmo click together vinyl flooring fitted. New modern bath, toilet and basin installed with a rain water shower with a practical and save spacing bifold shower screen.

Thanks S&R carpentry for fitting the flooring and helping out with the aqua panelling. Also thanks to Peter Lavers Mason for carrying out the building works.

💰MONEY SAVING TIPS💰

⭐️❄️Please share to see how many people we can help save money this Winter - we’re all in this together 💪🏻 ❄️⭐️

Let’s face it, we’re all a little apprehensive about our energy bills this year. Check out the following tips to help you save this upcoming Winter with no or very little cost:

1️⃣ Bleed your radiators, install radiator reflectors or change to thermostatic radiator valves
2️⃣ Use a water efficient shower head - this can save up to £70 a year
3️⃣ On a water meter? A shower uses up to 75% less water than a bath
4️⃣ Turn down your thermostat by 1degrees - this can save you £75 a year
5️⃣ Using a fully loaded dishwasher can save you up to 4000 litres of water a month. Alternatively if you wash your dishes by hand do it in a bowl to reduce the amount of water you use
6️⃣ Turn the tap off whilst brushing your teeth - you would save up to 4litres in those 2minutes
7️⃣ Only put your washing machine on when it’s a full load - a wash can use up to 140 litres so make sure you’re getting maximum usage for your money
8️⃣ Use the half flush on your toilet - surprisingly you use half the amount of water!

✔️Upgrade your boiler - Newer boilers are much more efficient and can have a warranty of 10 years. Is your current boiler older than 10 years? A new boiler can save you up to £400 a year - yearly servicing is key to the efficiency of this.

This was a job completed this week for a customer with another old, non economical heating system and hot water system. So all was removed and replaced with a new Baxi condensating boiler with a 7 year warranty for peace of mind, new pipework to the new boiler position and a magnetic filter fitting to remove dirt and debris in the system. This customer will be saving lots on heating, hot water and their yearly energy bills, an investment well worth making, especially at a time where energy bills are becoming a concern.

This bathroom was last updated in 1995……safe to say it was due an upgrade! A full strip back to start only to discover the shower wall wasn’t installed properly however it was soon corrected ready for the shower installation. Full works on this one…..new electric shower with a simple but impressive marble effect panels, new shower tray accompanied by a new shower door. Upgraded to a newer toilet with concealed cistern and basin with storage teamed up with matching marble splash back. All completed on time and in time for a well deserved holiday…..perfect! 😎☀️

As of the 1st of October 2022 all rental properties in England will require a carbon monoxide alarm; failing to comply could result in a fine of up to £5000!

This customer had a corner shower enclosure and wanted to use the bathroom space wisely. Plan of action? Old shower removed back to brick, new plasterboard fitted, aqua panelled shower area, new Mira rain water system shower fitted and a nice new shiny enclosure to finish the job off.

This rented property shower cubicle needed a bit of an update due to the tiles falling and water going through the ceiling so all was removed. New shower tray in, aqua panelling on the walls and a nice new shiny enclosure fitted. No more leaks and a fresh updated look 🤩
