Heavitree and Pinhoe URC
Welcome to Information about Heavitree and Pinhoe United Reformed Churches in Exeter. Sunday worship is at 10.30 am. for both churches and ALL ARE WELCOME!
We are an inclusive community of worshipers who believe in the power of radical love to transform our world. We welcome all people, and though we are mostly older folk we would love to have more diversity represented in our congregation! Come as you are, with your unique story, whatever your age, race, sexual-orientation, gender, marital status or job. Come along and say hi over a coffee :)

Congratulations to Chris and Amanda, married today at Heavitree URC! 💒
Sadly we don't have a Sunday school but want people to know that children are very welcomed at our Sunday morning services and at our refresh community café each Friday.
We'd like to say a BIG thank you to the Coop for their generosity and support for our community food larder. Your help is very much appreciated by those in our local community who are struggling right now
85 squares ready to send off to URC at Greenbelt!! What an achievement. Thanks to all who contributed from Heavitree and Pinhoe URC and Southernhay URC. Exeter will be well represented! Thank you so much
Please note there is no service at Pinhoe URC tomorrow or next Sunday as we have joint services with Heavitree URC both Sundays. Everyone is welcome to join us

Calling all crafters! If you're interested in crafting a square (or more!) please get in touch and we can collect the squares and send them on together- thanks
A few more ideas in case anyone would like to make a mini banner before next Friday's pop up crafts. I don't think there would be enough time to complete one Friday morning. Mostly I think it will be making sea creatures on the day. All contributions very welcome 😍

Craftivism East Devon are putting together a 'Clean Seas' campaign. We will be holding a Pop Up Crafts morning at Refresh Friday 10th May 10:30am - 12:30pm at Heavitree URC in support of this important issue. It is hoped that this will be a really positive campaign that people feel they can engage with in different ways.
At our craft morning we will be
creating depictions of things we love about the sea. The plan is to hang these, along with those from other craft groups,on the Esplanade railings together with mini banners explaining more about things we can do to help lower the number of sewage spills on the Friday evening of Seafest - 17th May. Please come along and be part of this Craftivism Event. Details/ poster to follow
Please note that our website is not working - This Friday 10 am - 1pm it's our community larder and refresh cafe at our Heavitree Church- all welcome

Tomorrow is International Transgender Day of Visibility, an annual event occurring each March 31 dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide, as well as a celebration of their contributions to society.
God, ground of all being,
Trans children wait,
Suspended between invisibility and visibility,
We remain - breathe life.
Christ, flesh stretched to embrace,
Trans kin wait,
Suspended between abuse and care,
We remain - breathe solidarity.
Spirit, transformative expanding breath,
Trans humans wait,
Suspended between erasure and potential,
We remain - breathe hope.
May it be so, Amen.
