Tambourine Productions are a small, amateur company that aim to provide exciting, hilarious and, yet, provocative live theatre. Great question!
Founded in 2021, the company is based in the beautiful seaside town of Exmouth in Devon. Why the name, “Tambourine Productions” I hear you cry? The original founders of the company all became close friends when performing together in a local musical theatre company. As the curtains close on our production of "Blackadder Goes Forth," we stand in awe and gratitude for the incredible journey we've shared with you. From the trenches of rehearsals to the heights of a complete sell out, your unwavering support and enthusiasm have made this experience truly unforgettable.
To each and every one of you who laughed along with us, and joined us on this adventure, we extend our sincerest thanks. Your laughter filled the air and fueled our performances, reminding us why we do what we do.
To our dedicated team behind the scenes, who worked tirelessly to bring this production to life, each of you played an integral role in crafting the magic of "Blackadder Goes Forth" and we thank you.

Tambourine Productions, following on from their triumphant staging of "Bouncers," presents the stage adaptation of the classic BBC sitcom "Blackadder Goes Forth." Featuring three episodes straight from screen to stage and set against the grim backdrop of World War I, the play dives into the hilarious misadventures of the eternally cunning Edmund Blackadder, his dimwitted yet endearing sidekick Baldrick, and the bumbling but lovable George.
Under the misguided leadership of the blustering General Melchett and his obsequious adjutant Captain Darling, Blackadder concocts a series of comically doomed schemes to escape the perilous confines of the trench and evade the imminent threat of death.
