Out and about in Farsley on Saturday morning, why not call in to Farsley Community Church for a coffee.

This week it is the turn of the Boys’Brigade and Girls Association to be serving the drinks. They probably won’t display the cups like we do but they make a great cuppa 😀

Every Saturday Morning between 10.00 and 12.00 Farsley Community Church have a Coffee Morning which is run by the various organisations that use the building .

All the money raised each week goes towards the running cost of the building which serves many community organisations

Let the Leeds Bear Hunt begin! 🐻

No need to worry! We're only talking about chasing these brand-new vibrant bear sculptures known as the Leeds Bear Hunt.

Dotted around Leeds for 10 weeks from the 1 July by Leeds Hospitals Charity to support the incredible work that Leeds Children's Hospital does.

35 giant bears (and some smaller Bear cubs) decorated by local, national, and international artists can be found anywhere around you. You can also see our very own WelcomeToLeeds bear somewhere!

Maybe some of them are already out in the wild 🤫

Some news on the road closures in Farsley on 8th May.

You might know they have got it wrong

The road signs put up on Old Road and near to The Cenotaph say “ Due to an event taking place on May 8th the roads will be closed from 1.30”

This is wrong and the Main road will shut at 1.00 pm and side roads leading into Town Street will start to shut from 12.00 .

Please note Andrew Street Carpark next to The Post Office will be closed for the event.

Early warning ……please let neighbours know who are not on social media.

The following roads will not have access to Farsley Town Street on Monday 8th May when we close for a Street Party

Town Street will be closed from Frances Street to the Cenotaph from 1.00pm until 5.00pm

Some of the side roads shown will have access restricted from 12 noon so the contractor can put barriers in to place

These are the roads: South Drive, St. John's View, Beckbury Close, Beckberry Street, New Street, Prospect Street, Old Fold, Back Lane, Croft Street , Water Lane, Andrew Square, Wesley Street, The Cherry Trees, Wade Street leading to Ebenezer Street, High Street, Charles Street
