Happy Bank Holiday Weekend!
Back to Exmouth with this one after picking it up in Portsmouth. This Axopar was moved by us back in July to temporary new cruising grounds and now returning to its home berth.
All safely offloaded with the lovely people at Greystones Harbour Marina. Now on our way back from Dublin!! Great job by the team. Thanks to Steve Byrne for piloting us yesterday!
Nosotras amamos españa. We are so lucky with our partners. A busy week has seen us drive down to Spain to load this Jeanneau NC11 from Areyns de Mer. It would not have happened without the background work done by Gemma sorting out all the permits and Maria our pilot and es**rt through Spain. Fantástica!!! Sarah and Remi now somewhere in the Bay of Biscay on the MV Galicia to Southern Ireland before making their way home next week. Thanks to Gemma, Maria and of course our very own Sarah and not forgetting Remi the Renault who has also worked very hard this week!!
Spotted again - This time on the M20. I think we must have just left the yard as the truck looks clean!!!
Aquafibre Pearl 38 is a brilliant boat for the broads with its low air draft, spacious cabin and sliding roof. We picked this one up Thames & Kennett marina at Caversham, Reading and delivered it to her new and very happy owners at https://www.stolavesmarina.co.uk/ with Rubi and Tony from Slims Pilot Car Services providing the necessary support.
South Coast to Brundall with a Sealine SC35 equipped with twin Volvo D4 260hp diesel engines and Duoprop sterndrives. Now available and on display at Norfolk Boat Sales. Our thanks to Slims Pilot Car Services and Tony for your support today and the team at Broom Boats for the great service on arrival.
A "small ship" is what the Trusty 23 is often described as. With fantastic build quality, classic lines, loads of character and a full displacement hull with centre bilge keels. This make her seaworthy and easy to handle even when the wind and sea get up. Another one sold from Norfolk Boat Sales and off to the South Coast. A big thanks to Pat and the crane team just across the river in Wroxham for their excellent service.
We love our classics. We are lucky enough to have some regular clients with yachts that are now over 100 years old. Here are just some we have looked after, in both the UK and France in recent months, and often more than one journey.
An example of a Princess Project 31. Transported from Lee Valley Marinas yesterday and delivered it to the tranquillity of www.coastalmarina.co.uk at Port Richborough on the River Stour. The Project 31 was produced by Princess Yachts (then known as Marine Projects), in 1965. This 31-foot motor yacht model was the company’s first and became a significant success for them. A classic.......
Really good news and nice to see someone take it on. Good luck to all involved

The Spirit 3000 is another British built sports cruiser originally built by Roger Clark Marine but then the moulds were sold to Picton Boats. The V3000 is now quite rare, but offers an amazing amount of accommodation for the size of boat. We picked this example up from the lovely people at Bell Boats Ltd in Brundall and delivered to its new owners in Hartlepool Marina
We love our return customers. This time moving a rather nice Axopar for their up and coming family holidays. Our "hoilday package" consists of transport from your home berth to your holiday destination a then return afterwards. We can also arrange and prepare everything so the boat is ready for your arrival. Turn the key and off you go....in this case at 40 knots!!
Today's job moving a Broom Ocean 37 from Windsor to Sandwich and was a total RENAULT affair. "Remi" was joined by "Rubi". Thanks to Tony and Slims Pilot Car Services for their usual excellent service and support.
(Who remembers the very successful Renault advertising campaign between 1991 and 1998. "Nicole..... Papa"!!)
A lovely Doral Prestancia 32. A "perfect blend of luxury and performance" is what the press said at the time. Doral was a North American boatbuilder who made some beautiful power boats. Now at Norfolk Boat Sales. Fantastic opportunity for someone.
What a hot day. Remi Renault needed a stop and a fill up. A long drink of his favorite tipple (Diesel) and he is back on his way to Wales. Looking pretty good now we finally got around to fitting the lower light bar and the flaps!
The first Freeman Cruisers emerged in 1957 when John Freeman turned his hand to boat building (he used to build caravans). Back then, it took 25 men to build a single boat! This particular version is a very nice example of the Freeman 32 and we picked it up from Upton Marina in lovely Worcestershire and delivered it to one of our favorite marinas Broom Boats at Brundall.
Viva la France! Remi went (almost) home this week. We delivered a unique Sea Otter Aluminium Cruiser to our friends at Blanquart Yachting SARL near Saint Jean-de-Losne. Sea Otter were renowned for their quality build and fit out. "Orla" will be cruising the fantastic French waterways.
At the end of the last week we collected this survey vessel from the South Coast and dropped it off in Norfolk for one of our commercial clients. Then back down to the yard for a quick clean and maintenance check before an early Monday morning ferry crossing to France.
A fantastic example of the immensely popular Sealine F33. We collected this one from the lovely York Marina and delivered it to its lucky new owners at Milford Marina. Remi and Sarah did well to keep to our tight schedule considering the multiple road closures and traffic this week.
Noteworthy for its robust build and seaworthiness, the Sadler 32 has cemented its legacy amongst cruising enthusiasts. We picked up this particular example from David Morris Ltd in Titchmarsh and delivered it to its new owners at Fleetwood Marina.
Just in time for the Bank Holiday weekend. A delivery of a Nautic 900 from Norfolk Boat Sales. Now on the River Thames with its delighted new owners who were enjoying a glass of wine on board by mid afternoon.
The aft cockpit Sheerline 950 from Sheerline Motor Cruisers is a classic Andrew Wolstenholme designed cruiser which has a generous keel line to provide easy handling at low speed on the river. The folding hoop and screen set allows this larger boat to navigate bridges as low as 7ft. The boats are famed for a quality fit out and beautiful timbers. This particular boat is now at its new location on the River Thames.
Our story this week takes us on the Ferry from Dover through the depths of the Bourgogne Franche-Comte region and down to Saint-Tropez and the lovely people at https://www.facebook.com/monacomarine
After carefully demasting this lovely classic Gaffer, we packed the mast and rigging, ensured the deck hatches were sealed against entry and started the journey North towards the UK where she has now been reunited with her lovely owners. A round trip of just under 2,000 miles. Fantastic work by the team.
As expected a fantastic example of the Sheerline Motor Cruisers 950 which we collected from Stansted Abbots and delivered to its new owner. Nice sunny day to be on the river!
ACM yachts were founded in 1955 in Cabourg in France. This rare ACM31 is a very versatile cruiser, comfortable for coastal exploits, and with a folding radar mast also allows better access on inland waterways. We picked it up from David Morris Ltd earlier in the week and delivered to Gosport Boat Yard
Got delayed in traffic on the Northbound A12 yesterday evening and look who I managed to catch trundling down the Southbound carriageway!
Sunny day at www.horningboatshow.com Great to talk to old customers and new. Thanks to all the organisers and volunteer show crew who did a great job and made it happen.
A busy end to the week after picking up a Monterey 315 SCR from Deganwy and delivering to Norfolk Boat Sales in Brundall. We were a day early but due to no other deliveries Broom Boats provided their usual excellent service and lifted off on arrival. Remi then enjoyed a wash at Wroxham car wash.
