Big surprise..... I have a ticket to see Lyndon Morgans play at The Greennote in Camden tonight....I have been a fan since meeting up at The Guggleton Farm Arts gig last Summer.....He liked my songs too and mentioned that I could open for him some time.....Me, Thrilled of course....Well as I am a fan anyway I was going to see his gig tonight and then the support act pulled out and now.... I am playing a thirty minute set at The Greennote. I am on at 8.30pm.
I also have a spare ticket as the friend who was coming with me can't ..so any London pals who'd like to see me and then Lyndon Morgans can DM me and let me know.
Receiving glowing reviews about my 2022 album, Darkling, like this one makes it all worth while! Let me know what your favourite track is from the album! 🌸
Thank you so much to you all for experiencing and coming along to my October shows! I cannot wait to be back on stage next year and see all your lovely faces again 🌸
Hello friends, sadly I have to postpone this gig. My mum died on Wednesday and I shall be with family for a while. Hope to see you another time # # #
My next gig is a whole eveningful of me at the Bell Inn in Bath... So I'm bringing along some music mates for the joy of it. Hope to see some of you Bathers there xx

A couple of weeks ago I met Lyndon Morgans when I supported his gig at Guggleton Farm Arts. I think his songs are extraordinary so I've booked a ticket for his show at Green Note... Highly recommend. # # #

Heres a bit of nostalgia from two years back at the Darkling Soft Launch! I will be returning next week! 🎙️
I sang the whole of Darkling through to an invited audience; we heard friends reading their poems and stories. It was magical. I love the Bennett Centre in Frome, it's so beautiful, like a medieval banqueting hall with rafters and stonework and an open fire🔥
In October I will be playing lots of new songs in a double headline gig with my friend Gabriel Moreno. Expect more magic with poems and stories and firelight. Don't forget to bring a picnic as there is no bar. Get your tickets via the link in my bio! 🎟️
I can now say I am a HUGE Lynden Morgans fan. I am moved and inspired by his writing. Well worth freezing my butt off for! Nothing feels as sweet as acceptance from an artist such as him!🎙️

I'm blushing a little! Some fabulous feedback from my recent live shows! My next live show is this Saturday, followed by my double headliner Troubadour Bandits Ride Again! with Gabriel Moreno on the 6th, 7th & 8th October... 🎶

'The Briar' sounds like it should be a trad British folk song in the vein of 'My love is like a red red rose', except that mine is a prickly briar complete with thorns berries and flowers and a tendency to invade well tended gardens. This is where the law is laid down.. With love.🌸

I have a packed weekend this bank holiday performing at Tuckers Cider Festival and FromeFM's Fundraiser! 🎤

This one turned out way creepier than intended... I wrote a version of this about a drifting relationship but then when I added the chorus, it began to sound like sirens and oblivion.
I like it better that way... it satisfies something dark and strange. I'm hoping the capo right up on the seventh fret gives it a slight Cocoa Rosie harp vibe... I'm a massive fan of theirs by the way. 🌸

I am still inspired by my attic in Frome 🌸
Most mornings this Summer, I sit under the sky lights with a guitar or two and work on songs for the new album ☀️

The Frome Independent Market on the first Sunday of the month is the big event around here 🌸
As it's my home town I thought I'd try out some of the new songs. Despite lots of practice, it's always nerve wracking playing new material; the chance of live bloopers is quite high, anything could happen and you can't even cross your fingers when playing guitar! 🤞
All was well. I played 'The Briar' and 'Capitano' for the first time in public to a friendly and enthusiastic audience. Thank you Frome. After the gig my friend and some time harmony singer Sara Vian tried out some amazing dresses and hats at 'Popicoq'. As the market is such a special event we were treated to a glass of Prosecco too 🥂
Sweet... I'm on next x

I have just added a wee update to my blog on my website...
2023 Update Last time I wrote I was reviewing 2022 and about to go into the studio to record album number three with Josh Clark of Get Real Audio. His new studio at Rockley Park is magnificent. We made a start but quickly realised I wasn’t ready. I think what happened over the Summer with my dad’s illness a...

Making 'The Year, She Turns' - July - Jennifer Crook
I'm singing backing vocals on this track...
jennifercrook.com This time last year I was working in my home studio during a heat wave and decided to escape to a local swimming hole called Warliegh Weir. The whole world it seemed, had the same idea. The place was packed. Cars lined the main road as far as you could see, crowds of excitable people walked …

Hello world! I've been out of musical circulation for a while. Sometimes life gets too loud and demanding and the music goes quiet.
But now I'm back on it! I've been playing and writing again.....I have some new songs almost ready to play to you and am thinking about how I'd like them to sound.....
I think I need a band...more collaborations....a bigger sound ...I also have an electric guitar lurking amount my acoustic array....begging to be played!
I'm intending to get a new EP out over the next few months and once my fingers have toughened up again I'll be looking for gigs.....
I need to acknowledge my dear friend and musical supporter Richard Reid who died recently after a short illness. Every time I play the old songs I hear him humming along...he was so very supportive and I never knew I'd miss him so much.
Here are some lovely reviews of my album......thanks guys.
'This woman has made an extraordinary album.
These songs are delicate and powerful. There is something other worldly about them. Maybe someone opened a time capsule... I don't know. But what I do know is the songs will disarm you, amaze you, make you emotional and you will want to play them again.
It's a fab album, you will fly. do yourself a favour and buy the album.''

'' Wonderful! - we felt as if we were hearing the spirit of
Laura Nyro, Joan Baez, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Woodie Guthrie and more all rolled into one. It sounds like some special, secret recording from 1964 that only really cool people know about. We love it! Well done''
Neville Farmer, Music Journalist
Sometimes, very rarely, an album comes along that shines so bright that you know immediately this is something special. You don’t quite know why because it’s simple and uncluttered, but something about the voice and the words and the harmonies draws you in and you give in to the enchantment of it. The voice, fragile, haunted, heart-breaking in its simplicity tells of love, longing, loss, broken promises and sweet release. The words land with such grace, at times giddy, child-like at other times full of yearning and intensity; always with a charm that sweeps you sideways. These are the songs of a woman who has lived - and lived to tell the tale. Songs to get lost in.''
