We are having a total blast at All Hallows! This is day 2 of our two-day book fair here and we've been really enjoying the amazing World Book Day outfits of both the staff and students. Every child has had the chance to take a book home and it's been so fun helping them choose from this brilliant selection of titles! We love running book fairs, so do get in touch if you would like to consider running one in your school.
Conditions are good for tonight's show at with Charlie Connelly 'Attention All Shopping', all about the Shipping Forecast which is celebrating its 100 year anniversary. Fittingly, tonight's performance happens to fall on the 200th anniversary of the RNLI.
What a joyous start to the week! Welcoming in Year One from Trinity First School this morning to exchange their World Book Day vouchers for books . This week we will be welcoming the rest of the school, class by class. We'll also be at St John's First School at school pick-up time on Thursday. Then, on Wednesday and Thursday we'll be at All Hallows running a book fair!
Last Friday we welcomed Skylark, Robin and Goldfinch classes from Vallis to meet author-illustrator Moesha Kellaway.

Our arts and craft activity is STILL on this morning. So if your little ones have already exhausted themselves in the snow and you're scratching your head about how to keep them occupied this morning, come on down to our shop. Author-illustrator Moesha Kellaway will be running some fun craft activities this morning from 10-12. No booking required. Turn up and we'll squeeze you in if there's space ☺️
***GET CRAFTY WITH US THIS SATURDAY: 10-12Noon*** Today we were so lucky to have our window painted by the lovely Moesha Kellaway. Moesha's first book Slug Life is such a charming and sweet guide all about what's to live in a slug. With some brilliant jaw dropping facts thrown in for good measure.
Tomorrow Moesha will be running a craft activity suitable for little ones 3-4+. She will be here from 10am-12Noon. No booking is required, but it could get busy!

We will hold on to the recommended reading lists Ruth so thoughtfully put together for us. If you would like one, do pop in and ask.

To mark the two year anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, friend of Hunting Raven and passionate advocate of all things Ukrainian, Ruth Windle, will be on our porch this Saturday from 11am-1pm. She will be on hand to chat with customers and passersby about the very many books she has read about Ukraine's history, culture and politics and is very enthusiastic to share with you. We will have reading lists to take away and you would be very welcome to order books.
When the book, bag, coat and scarf combo works as well as this? There just has to be a picture! Bonus points given for leaving the shop with this month's book club read, Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter

We're loving the little flurry of regeneration that's happening on Cheap Street right now, and it's lovely to be welcoming new neighbours. I just had to snap last night on my way back to the shop post-event as his shop front looked just so stylish and appealing.
