Tamsyn Gill Designs
Graphic designer and illustrator. You know, pictures and stuff This page is a place to catch up on my latest works, creative inspirations and products.
I use many different mediums to create my work. I create work in ink, watercolour, gouache and acrylic, and often take my drawings into the digital realm to colour digitally using natural brushes and textures. One of my favourite things to create are individual commissions, so please get in touch if there's something you have in mind. I am also passionate about buying local and supporting other artists, so will be posting lots about this too! All images on this page are copyright to Tamsyn Gill.

Oh 2023, What a year for new beginnings!
Thank you so much to all my wonderful clients, customers, and friends for helping me support the career that makes the most sense to me.
I can't wait to build on the success of all things I've been doing this year in 2024, including:
β¨ More live illustrating, as I'm now part of the excellent scrib-ey friend team!
β¨ Making more products and having (hopefully) bigger and more stylish market stalls next year with my products
β¨ Building up a portfolio of Cornish illustrations, after the deeply inspiring Folk exhibit (closing party on the 4th Jan, do come celebrate!)
But, as with many creatives, it's not all been π.
I've had to juggle so much with Chronic illnesses, the stress of trying to get paid work, and feeling that however much I achieve it's just small potates.
But just for now, I can look back at these achievements and feel proud of myself for a moment or two.
Much love to all the other artists out there, wishing you a cash rich and creatively fulfilling year π
β¨I'm so delighted to share my illustration submission for the excellent Folk exhibit !β¨
This little witch (or 'Gwargh Gernewek in Cornish) was inspired by the eastern folktale of Baba yaga.
Only this little witch roams the Cornish cliffs, abandoned mines and clay pits, making sure everyone respects the land and life in Cornwall.
She loves fishing for mackerel, making pasties and saffron bins, and frightening rowdy and disrespectful emmets!
Her dress is based on that of the 'bal-maidens' of Cornish mine houses, and her shawl is of course made from a Cornish tartan pattern.
I want to especially thank for helping me with the Cornish translations!
Next I'll be sharing my second entry in the exhibit....
