This Friday’s event is almost sold out! Ellisons latest kitchen takeover is a collaboration between Tom Wright from and Moz Murphy from , an independent Cheesemonger. The event will be held on 16th August from 6.30pm. and we have one table for 4 people and our bar seating area for 2 still available.

Tom and Moz are pooling their skills and knowledge to develop a wonderful 8 course tasting menu with a focus on cheese. Every dish on the menu will include a different type of cheese.

After the success of Tom’s previous kitchen takeover Tom was excited to return to Ellison’s and bring with him the expertise of Moz Murphy.
Tom has years of experience in a variety of restaurants including Peace & Loaf, Ynshir (2 star) and The Raby Hunt (also 2 star).

Moz has a vast knowledge of all things cheese, specialising in British and Irish cheeses & supplying a huge range from her shop in Jesmond. Her knowledge and experience spans over 20 years and Grate is the cheese supplier for a number of local restaurants including Peace & Loaf, Cookhouse, Ophelia & Long Friday.

Well what a night we had last night. The tapas dishes were stunning, atmosphere buzzing, wine flowing, and our customers were extremely happy. The kitchen and Front of House team smashed it, on what was a very busy night.

Day 2 of Restaurant week! Yesterday went brilliantly with lots of people coming to enjoy something from our Restaurant Week Lunch Menu including a table for 8 who had their first visit to Ellison’s. They were on their lunch break from work so preordered what they wanted to make it a quicker smoother service. Afterwards they said ‘Thank you for the lovely food and drinks - We will be back!’
