Nowhere near the standards we have set in recent weeks and get punished for it with Medics taking a 2 goal lead. We scored right on half time to give us the shot in the arm needed.

Second half we huffed and puffed we didn’t convert the chances we created and credit to the boys for stepping up. We go down to 10 men after the frustration with lack of consistency with fouls got to us and we have an uphill battle.

Know we can be a lot better than what we were today but we trust the process and go again next week. Win and lose as a team.

RESULT : Clydebank Red Star 2-3 Woodbank

A tale of 2 halves that shaw us come away with an important 3 points and a very impressive 2nd half performance!

1st half saw us have a slow start with Red Star controlling possession and territory then taking an early 1-0 lead. We started getting into the game and levelled with a possible Goal of the Season contender. Ball on our right hand side and ball fed to Jordan outside the corner of the box, 30 yards from goal, picked his head up and struck a powerful curling strike that went over the keeper, hit the underside of the bar, post and in!!! An absolute belter😮‍💨!!! 1-1⚽️. Red Star came back at us and we fall asleep with cross from deep and a good looping header beats Danny for 2-1 HT Red Star.

2nd half the lads took the half time instructions and executed it perfectly as we got into the game more and made use of the ball a lot better. We draw level from Adams long range freekick was powerful, dipping and moving for the Red Star keeper who kept it out but Connor latched onto the rebound and high into the net for 2-2⚽️!! With the equaliser we had our tails up, the game was open as both teams searched for the winner and we got it. We turn over the ball in the middle of the park and Jordan who loves a long range, got the ball out his feet and caught everyone off guard as he hit another powerful strike from near the halfway line, that fired over the Red Star keeper who was helpless, ball into the back of the net for 3-2⚽️!!! Another absolute belter and GOTS contender🤤!!! We saw out the final 15 with great defending and Red Stars keeper pulling off an amazing point blank save to keep them in it with 5 to go! Full time Red Star 2-3 Woodbank👏🏼!

MOTM : who else but , an unbelievable performance and 2 goal of the season contenders today. Overall the team spirit and mentality is getting better week by week. We have plenty of work still to do and we will keep working👊🏼!!

Result : Rosebank 4-2 Woodbank.

A much closer game the scoreline suggests but have to give credit to Rosebank who punished our mistakes and came away with 3 points. All the best to Colin and the boys🤝🏼

We are 2-0 down in the first 3 minutes after a very slow start conceding in the first minute and giving away a penalty in the third minute, worst start imaginable!! Rest of the first half we were the better side and pulled one back with a penalty of our own which Doc converted. 2-1 at HT.

Second Half was even and fast paced with Woodbank looking for a leveller and Rosebank looking to increase the gap , which they did scoring 2 goals in 10 minutes for 4-1. But very proud of the boys as they didn’t stop working and created chances! The Rosebank keeper made a superb save from Steg’s strike. But we get got 1 back with superb build up play , Doc cuts it back for Jegs who made no mistake with a superb finish into the top corner. We didn’t take our chances to make it more uncomfortable and the game ends 4-2 to Rosebank.

Slow start killed the game for us but our performance, attitude and work ethic on the park wasn’t in question. Disappointed in defeat and motivated with the hard work.

Woodbank 2-0 Dreams United

An entertaining game for neutrals today as we faced GCFA new comers Dreams for the first time and both teams were looking to play fast and forward so the game was played at frantic pace all game.

1st Half - we had better chances with us testing the Dreams goalkeeper and also hitting the post and then the bar early on! Dreams had their chances but we got vital breakthrough 5 mins from HT , Doc’s ball in, Shanie won the first header and Goody was brave putting his head in and got a good connection to put away into the net for 1-0👏🏼⚽️!! We then breakthrough straight away, with a shot hit the underside of the bar ,off the line, followed by a point blank save from Dreams keeper from 3 yards out and then long range strike from Jordan that hits the inside of the post and wide , all in the space of 15 seconds , was a madness 🤯 1-0 HT!

2nd Half : Dreams were down to 10 men after a red for dissent but this swung the momentum of the game for Dreams who were looking dangerous with nothing to lose at this point and going for it. But we finally got ourselves settled and made the extra man count with good passing and movement. We get the crucial 2nd goal and comes from another set piece, ball into the box was cleared only as far as the skipper Connor first time struck it low and beautifully just inside the post! A well deserved goal for the Skipper with all the team around him celebrating with him! 2-0👏🏼⚽️!! Finished 2-0 Woodbank!! - All the best to Adam and the Dreams lads 🤝🏼

MOTM - , big man is just getting better and better but today he showed how well he can do the dirty side with tackling, recovery runs and generally getting stuck on! Well done Adnan!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 also well done to all the lads as the effort and standards today were excellent.
