Hello everyone, we’re here to repost & share an event by the British Geriatrics Society this coming Saturday, 14 January 2023. It is an online Quality Improvement Workshop for medical, nurse and AHP students, and will be an interactive introduction to quality improvement & geriatric medicine. We'd all love to welcome you to the new COTE page. For those of you who are not aware we are a new society with a particular interest in Care Of The Elderly (COTE) medicine. We plan on running loads of events throughout the year including revision/education nights, specialist talks and of course lots of socials so keep your eye out for these by following our various social media pages 👀👀👀

We are delighted to be supporting Parkinson's UK as our designated charity for the year as we believe that it is a great cause and is particularly relevant to COTE.

We will be holding our first AGM on Wednesday the 17th of November from 5:15-6:15 PM. If you are on the mailing list you should have received the email with the zoom link. Please feel free to come along and vote or have a listen even if you aren't running for a position! Please let us know if you would like to attend but don't have the zoom link by sending us a wee message!

We are planning to host our very first AGM on Wednesday the 17/11/21!
Everyone is welcome to come along!
If you would like to run for any of the positions outlined please use the google form below!
You are encouraged to run for more than one! A lot of people have contacted me about wanting to help set up the society so Janie and I have made as many positions as possible.

President: Oversee the society and help anywhere needed
Vice President: Assisting the president and organization of events
Treasurer: In charge of the society's funds and bank account
Events Lead: Organizing events such as fundraisers and socials. Will work alongside the academic lead
Academic Lead: Organizing academic events such as talks, workshops and revision nights. Will work alongside the events lead
Social Media: In charge of the society's FB/Instagram page. Main role is promoting events and keeping the page(s) active
Charity Liaison: Communicates with the charity chosen by the society that year
Secretary: Involved in taking minutes at meetings and assisting with administrative work such as sending out emails and assisting with room bookings where needed.
