Filip and I had so much fun in our jointly adjudicated Lieder and art song class Inverclyde Music Festival I sang and he played. What a joy! Getting a score of 90 (!!) with Wolfs - Das verlassene Mägdlein and Irelands, Spring Sorrow.

I still remember this guy hanging back at lunch to show me he’d learned the intro to a piece, we were learning at choir, the night before on his keyboard on his own with no help…. In primary 6!! What a 🌟

Lucy our Disney Queen!! Lucy has only just joined us this year and we're SO glad she has! An all round talented girl with the kindest personality who has just slotted in perfectly to our PAPA family. It feels like she's always been here🥹

Lucy wowed us with her audition and there was no doubt about what part she was going to play. She's worked so hard to learn everything, and we reckon after some of our 4 hour rehearsals, her step count could rival a marathon runner. Lucy captures Anna's loveable awkwardness that everyone can relate to just perfectly with her comedy timing and Disney facial expressions 💙

Anna

Sophie is one of original Prominence members! She's been with us since the beginning and what a journey she's been on. From our little 0 budget showcases in Lyle Kirk church hall, to going on to play Matilda in our short version back in 2017, to Mrs Mayor in Seussical and now Anna in Frozen, she just continues to challenge herself and knock it out of the park every time. Sophie has put a lot of thought into how she portrays Anna. Her comedy timing and beautiful stage presence perfectly captures Anna's awkwardness and bravery and she never drops character.

Not only has she put in so much hard work to learn everything inside out. but she's always got time to help others out, especially our younger SNRS who look up to the PROS. Sophie has somehow managed to learn and nail this whilst also taking on her first leading role in Little Shop of Horrors with Kayos Theatre Company What a girl!!!

We're so proud and can't wait for you to see her as Anna!! ❄✨

🪴CAST ANNOUNCEMENT🪴

This is Jack Harkness who will be playing one of our Seymours! Seymour is a sweet, well-meaning guy who finds himself in over his head after stumbling across a strange new plant!

Jack has been involved in amateur theatre for nearly 18 years, starting off in the Arts Guild Carol Frye’s theatre school and after that most of his time was spent being a member of Kayos. He has played a variety of principal and ensemble roles with multiple theatre groups in productions such as Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, High School Musical, Rock of Ages, Nativity, Legally Blonde and Sunshine on Leith.

After his time in Skid Row, Jack won't be stopping there as he is playing Jamie and a member of the ensemble in Greenock Light Opera Club’s production of My Fair Lady in November.
