Our Activate! initiative with Network Rail enables organisations to connect with the public at some of the UK’s busiest stations and make a positive impact on the community. British Society for Immunology (BSI) recently utilised the initiative and popped up at London King’s Cross Station to educate the public on the science behind how vaccines work!
🧬The BSI’s mission is to raise the voice of the immunology community, representing all those studying the immune system

At the end of May, Barnardo's visited Network Rail’s Manchester Piccadilly and Leeds Stations to raise awareness about their fostering and adoption services.
✨ Barnardo’s exhibited their “Through My Eyes’ art collection which featured artwork pieces created by young people who have been adopted or have care experience
✨ Exhibiting at both stations allowed the Barnardo’s team to showcase their new branding and educate the public on how they can support young people through fostering or adoption
✨Combined footfall over both activation days was 182,367 allowing the team to speak with many members of the public and spotlight young people’s stories and experiences.
Dolmio UK recently polled the public and found that people spend an average of 37 hours a year agonising over what to eat, with dinner being the most challenging choice of all. Following their research, Dolmio decided to make dinner easier for commuters at London Waterloo station by handing out Dolmio meal kits during the evening rush at the station!
🍅 Footfall at London Waterloo station reached 259,654 on the day of the activation
🍅 Brand ambassadors met their target of distributing 1,500 meal kits
🍅 Research shows that 88% of consumers decide to purchase a product after receiving a free sample

🎵Waterloo! I was defeated, you won Campaign of the Month🎵
Ok, it may not rhyme, but it’s true – the 50th anniversary celebration of ABBA’s iconic Eurovision win with "Waterloo" at Network Rail's London Waterloo station is our winner for Campaign of the Month!
The station was transformed into an ABBA paradise – The Mark De-Lisser Singers surprised commuters with an incredible flash mob performance, singing "Waterloo" and getting everyone involved in the fun. The station was decked out with ABBA-themed decorations and outdoor ads, creating a festive atmosphere for all. 🎤✨
The promotion also featured a ‘Piano Moment’, a pre-recorded piano piece by Benny Andersson that simultaneously played through pianos placed in London Waterloo Station, Berlin, Warsaw and, of course, Stockholm. 🎹
Congratulations to all involved!!

The recently refurbished station is the main rail station serving the city of Sunderland, minutes away from the city centre. The newly opened southern concourse features a large glass wrap around design and includes a new ticket office and comfortable waiting areas.
The new entrance is also the location for Sunderland station’s exhibition site, a 5 x 5 metre space suitable for brand experience and sampling campaigns!

Mascots have definitely been the must-have element of experiential campaigns of 2024 so far! For HG International’s Mould Spray activation, created by Highjam, at Birmingham New Street and London Waterloo stations, a spray-bottle mascot made the educational campaign more approachable and engaged commuters to learn more about the product. The combined footfall at both stations was 415,855 on the days of the activation, ensuring the campaign was seen by a high footfall.

Last month we had a very exciting activity take place as part of our Activate! initiative with one of our largest choirs ever performing at Leeds train station!
Over 180 members of the Got 2 Sing Choir were at Leeds station performing an array of popular songs for the public with the event being thoroughly enjoyed by both the choir and the audience. We had great feedback from the organisation which can be read below:
“Leeds Station went down an absolute storm thanks! The choir really enjoyed singing there – in fact, the party leader said it was her favourite venue and performance of the whole weekend, so it was a great success!”
Our Activate! initiative with Network Rail enables organisations such as Got 2 Sing Choir to pop-up at Network Rail train stations and enhance the experience of those passing through the station. Footfall on the day of the performance was 60,115.
