"Luxury caricatures for connoisseurs of quality..." 😎👌

Sad to read the news this weekend that 'Two Doors Down' has now been laid to rest and they won't be making any new episodes. Understandable though, given the sad passing of one of the shows writers, Simon Carlisle, last year. Such a sad loss, he was an incredible talent.

What a show though, eh? Easily the best comedy to come out of Scotland in years! 7 seasons of comedy gold. I'm sure it'll be recognised as an absolute classic and watched over and over for years to come, as all great comedies are.

I must admit I discovered the show a bit late. It wasn't till the lockdown year of 2020 that I tuned in and caught up with all the seasons on the iplayer. Two Doors Down instantly became a big hit in The Team Travers household!

I always fancied drawing the characters and I've honestly lost count of the amount of times people have asked me to caricature them. I'm glad I finally did it earlier this year and the response I've had from fans of the show has been phenomenal! Huge thanks to everyone for the kind words.

I got a nice surprise this week when Emma - one of my lovely brides- sent me a tik tok she made of me in action on her wedding day!

I'm not actually on tik tok myself, as I'm nearly 50 (therefore technically ancient) but maybe I should give it a go....?

Here's my new caricature of Scottish comedy legend Rikki Fulton as The Reverend I.M. Jolly! I always loved watching 'Scotch & Wry' on Hogmany when I was growing up. Fond memories of my Da absolutely rolling at Jolly's patter every year as well! I dedicate this drawing to him.
