JONO - Prawn Sauce - CMA ‘Fade Away’ Superdub Mix
Dave Cam was working away at Markie Dan’s in Oban. The kitchen was really busy and were taking no more orders, but a customer asked for a prawn cocktail. He went to check with the kitchen and was told that this was not possible. Dave proclaimed that he did not understand what the big deal was, as it was only prawns and sauce. They asked me to write a song about it at Markie Dans, and this was born.

I began working on it whilst I was in the middle of a project funded by Creative Scotland to develop my portfolio. Another day another shift in Markie’s
Working in the bar amongst the sharkies
Customer beginning to get sarky
Sitting with their dogs making barkies

You only need a little bit of ketchup
Add a little mayo or they retch up
Shred a little lettuce for the patch up
Squeeze a little lemon it’s a match up
I went to the kitchen it’s a Freakshow

Chloe on reception since the get go
