Kingsway Children’s Centre based in Goole is an extremely busy setting and you will be required to work at a fast pace and to a high standard, however full support and coaching from knowledgeable practitioners and your line manager will be provided.

You should hold at least a level 3 Childcare qualification and be flexible to meet the needs of parents/carers. A commitment to supporting a safe and stimulating learning environment for children is also required.

Applications are now open for you to apply for a Primary School Place. All applications for Primary school’s must be received by the council by the 15th January 2025, if your child turns 4 years old between 1st September 2024 and the 31st August 2025 then you will need to apply for a school place. East Riding Health Visitors & School Nurses - Isphns

We cant believe today is the last day of nursery! For those who are returning to us in September 2024, nursery will be back open on Tuesday 3rd September at 9am :) Your child's Summative report or 2 year check will be available to view shortly.

Those who are going to school, we wish you ll the best of luck! Your child's Transition report should be now available for you to view, and over the summer you will receive a email with a download link for you to download your child's tapestry. I cannot believe we have come to the last week of term! (tissues at the ready!)
Nursery graduation is on Thursday 11th July - This is for children who are leaving us to go to school
If you can arrive from 2pm, we will aim to start graduation at 2:15pm
We ask that there is no more than 2 guests per child,

Please note nursery will then close for the day at 3pm

The school kitchen is closed for refurbishments

Children who stay for lunch, must come with a cold packed lunch, we can not warm anything up. Please add an ice pack or similar to your Childs lunch box as we will be unable to store all packed lunches in the fridge

We ask that children bring a balanced packed lunch and do not bring anything containing nuts

Williams Den – Thursday 4th July

• Meet at the front of school/top of the drive at 9:15am

• There is no café open to buy any food other than snacks and ice cream so you MUST bring a packed lunch for yourselves and your child

• Appropriate clothing (weather dependant), Williams Den does have water and messy play activities and can be very muddy! So wellies/waterproof sandals may be useful as may some spare clothes. There will be a designated area for bags and belongings to be left. But I would recommend that you keep your ‘luggage’ to a minimum to ensure that you can enjoy all the equipment to its full potential.

• Your own sun cream will be needed if it is a warm day

• Any medication such as inhalers

• All staff will be attending on the day and plan to join in on all the fun, we will be happy to support anyone who may need it; both at the Den and on the bus. Please let us know if you need anything.

• Williams Den is a no smoking and va**ng area both inside and in the outside areas, however there is a designated smoking area in the car park. If you would like to use this, please arrange for someone to watch your child while you do so.

• We are expected to be at Williams Den all day from 10am – 2pm, unfortunately nursery can not provide transport if you are wanting or needing to leave before 2pm

The children (and staff!) loved beach day this morning in the nursery garden, we are going to repeat the beach day on the following sessions;

Please can you make sure your child has some beachwear, towel and some crocs/sandals

Good morning all!!

It looks like today and the next few days are going to be very warm! It's massively appreciated if you can make sure your child has suncream on BEFORE coming to nursery, without this we have over 20 children to apply suncream to before any fun activities can start. We will then top this up throughout the day where required

We are also hoping to do a beach day or days! While the weather is nice, if you would like your child to join in with these activities they would need to come to nursery with a swimming costume (or similar) a towel and some shoes that can get wet for example crocs/sandles

Today the East Riding has launched the Dolly Parton Imagination Library for all children!.
This is a book gifting programme devoted to inspiring a love of reading in children from birth. Each month all children who are registered will receive a high quality, age-appropriate book in the post, free of charge. The books include traditional stories and rhymes, books by beloved authors and illustrators, non-fiction content, and newly published titles. I have attached a copy of the 2024 book list, so you know what books the children will be receiving.
Children can be enrolled at anytime 🙂 Please sign your child up to this wonderful service! 🙂
