Saturday the 10th August see the return of the annual memorial football game in memory of Rob Hall and Andy Keech, the match will again take place on the Ashes with a 1pm kick off scheduled, followed afterwards by food drinks and party at Bishops Bar and Bistro.

this is the 6th year of the match and as always, we aim to raise money for a well-deserved charity.

This year’s charity is once again Val’s Journey in support of Valerie Coulson (Rob Auntie) and her own battle against cancer. Val requires specialist treatment called Avastin not currently available on the NHS so therefore must be funded for by herself and the many fundraising events she and family organise, the treatment is required every 3 weeks at cost of nearly £2000 so every penny counts this year.


We will be having BBQ, Ice cream van and face painting at the ashes along with tombola and raffles. This will be followed by an auction on the evening at Bishops Bar and Bistro, prizes listed below. All proceeds to Val’s Journey.

If anyone would like to bid on any of the prizes prior to the event, please get in touch with a bid and like wise if anyone has any prizes, they wish to donate for either the raffle or the auction again please get in touch.

This as always promises to be a great day remembering 2 local lads, so please come down to the ashes, bring the kids and enjoy an afternoon of football and fundraising) then join us after for a well-earned pint.
