Lots of work going on behind the scenes this summer to enhance the exterior of our nursery 🤩

Its been lovely to see and hear that Many of our past students have been working hard on rehersals for their upcoming show Aladdin with the Goole amateur society, with one of them taking the lead role of Aladdin himself. It's such a lovely feeling to see those young ones we used to care working towards some amazing goals. Today we started the first phase of our new adventure.

Thankyou to all who have reposted and messaged with regards to the incident at the weekend. A member of the public witnessed the incident. Recognised those involved and the police were informed of their names and school they attend.They will be contacting the parents of these children in due time. However one of the parents have already reached out to us to apologise and offered to assist in repairing the damage. We understand that sometimes children make silly choices and hope that they will learn from what has happened. We thank the parent for being open and honest with us and taking steps to make sure it doesn't happen again. If you know your child was involved please feel free to pop and have a word with us.

Does anyone have any CTV footage of Vicroria street, down to wetherspoon area yesterday afternoon. They have broken into our playground. Destroyed the tree that bad they have pulled all the birds eggs out the nests, smashed plastic everywhere. Put two windows through on purpose and proceeded to post things through the smashed windows. They were spotted and scared away. 3 youths one in black hoodie and 1 in a grey hoodie, with a bike. This setting is part of our community, and a safe place for many children to get childcare throughout the week. We are now currently a classroom down until it's fixed. Any help identifying these youths would be appreciated!!

We would like for you to meet one of our lovely children Noah. Noah has been at Rainbow for a year and is a very liked, cared for and valued member of the Rainbow Group. As a Team we usually raise funds for extra activities and treats for our children throughout the year. This year we will be splitting all proceeds between the group and Noahs fundraiser to help him walk with a specialist piece of equipment. This is an amazing piece of equipment that will see him through to adulthood and open so many possibilities for him. Sadly it is not available on the NHS and costs 26000. Hence the fundraising.
Next term we will be holding a large raffle and a sponsored read to name a few things. If anyone would like to donate to an amazing cause it would be greatly appreciated.

A big shout out to Jurassica today for hosting our Christmas party for the 2nd year running. It was beautiful to see the children and their families enjoying themselves. The staff were fantastic and the food hot and plentiful. What a great gem on our doorstep.

Merry Christmas to both our past, present and future families. We will see you in tbe new year.

We have had a beautiful day opening up the nursery to our families for two stay and play craft sessions today. Reindeer food, gingerbread decorating, card making, arts and crafts and lots of fun in front of the christmas tree. Thankyou to our parents for turning out. It was so wonderful to see you all enjoying yourselves.

Today we have started our research on how to make our very own Christmas book. We have learned about the front, back, beginning and middle of a story. We know what an author and illustrator is as well as what the words in books mean. We then decided on what our story would be called and made our very own illustrations for the front cover.

What a beautiful start back we have had this week. Its been lovely seeing the children come through our doors happy and eager, as well as getting to know and meet new starters and their families.
We hope that all those that moved on to their new schools this week have had an enjoyable start and look forward to hearing about their adventures.

The financial support available to parents via government funding to help with the cost of childcare costs is changing and is been introduced gradually over the next 18 months….

Here are the details
⭐Currently, working parents of 3-4 year olds get 30 hours of childcare

⭐From April 2024 working parents of 2 year olds will get 15 hours of childcare

⭐From September 2024 working parents of children 9 months+ will get 15 hours of free childcare

⭐From September 2025 working parents of children 9 months+ will get 30 hours of childcare

Thank you to Tesco for the donation of crates. The children have loved explore these this morning we've had reading boats, throwing balls into them and made a huge obstacle course. I wonder what else the children will make with them.
