So excited to announce that from the 14th July, I will be offering Pilates classes on Sunday mornings 10.15-11am in Strathaven at the lovely DPA studio 🤩
What is Pilates? 🫶🏻
Pilates is a low-impact exercise method focused on improving flexibility, strength, and body awareness. It 6 core stability, controlled movements, and proper alignment, making it effective for enhancing overall fitness and preventing injuries. Suitable for all fitness levels, Pilates helps strengthen your muscles, improve posture, and increase mobility through a series of precise, mindful exercises that connect breath to movement.

Why Pilates you ask? 🤔
For me, there are endless reasons and I seem to find someone new I love about Pilates every time I practice but here are just a few..
1. It can help your posture and alignment. So many of us THINK we have good posture but often times we don’t. Pilates can help this and therefore prevent possible injuries/niggles from cropping up.
2. It is a great way to build strength and create balance in the body. Oftentimes we are focused on only working certain muscle groups (those who fell victim to spot reducing anyone 😅) but Pilates focuses on all muscle groups, even the little ones you didn’t know you had.
3. It focuses on developing greater stability. Pilates focuses a lot on stability of the joints and spine and this in turn helps prevent injury, strengthen joints and encourage good movement patterns.
4. Pilates is low impact and suitable for all fitness levels. The saying goes “if Pilates feels easy, you’re doing something wrong” 😅 there are SO many ways to progress and regress exercises that it is perfect for all fitness levels. I will always offer various options in my classes so you can choose what one is right for your body.
5. Pilates can be a great activity for stress-relief. Pilates focuses on switching off the outside noise of life and focusing on the movement. It’s perfect for those with a busy mind to switch off and focus on self care and wellbeing.
6. Pilates encourages a mind-body connection. Oftentimes when we are doing exercises, we don’t really know where we should be feeling them or HOW they should feel. Pilates focuses on slowing down the movements, ensuing propwr alignment and form and allows you to really FEEL the exercise in your body. It’s amazing when you start to tune in what you notice.

These sessions are perfect for pre/post natal mums, those working from home or anyone seeking personalised sessions tailored to your own goals. Sessions will be focused on strengthening muscles, enhancing mobility and learning how to work with your body to move well and feel well 🌟

I am extremely excited to share that I will be starting a new postnatal fitness class at in East Kilbride from the 14th May.
Sessions will currently be Tuesdays at 12.30-1.30pm.
It’s a 6 week programme designed to support new mums in rebuilding core strength, stamina and overall fitness while prioritising self care 🧘🏻♀️ These classes provide a friendly environment where mums can focus on their wellbeing whilst bonding with their babies (up to walking age). From targeted exercises to gentle movements, each session is tailored to help mums regain strength and confidence, all while enjoying quality times with their wee ones 👶🏻. It’s also a chance to connect with other mums in a friendly environment, to share experiences and support each other 🫶🏻
I have deliberately limited the spaces in the classes to ensure I can give you individual attention for each exercise, to ensure you are getting the most from the class. I will now be offering an online (live) zoom class on Saturday mornings at 9-9.45am.
What is Barre?
Despite what many people (and I used to) think, Barre isn't Ballet! It may use some Ballet-inspired moves such as plie squats but it is a fusion between these alongside resistance training, Pilates, cardio and yoga. All of my favourite things!
Who is Barre for?
Barre is for everyone! It is a dynamic class that will get you sweaty but with low impact moves. No jumping but lots of pulses and small movements to target all the muscles in your body.
What do I need?
All you really need is a chair/windowsill/wall that you can use for balance. If you have a mat or any props that is great but they are not essential.

Let me introduce myself ✨
Hi! I’m Tracey 👋🏻
I’m incredibly passionate about strengthening both body and mind through movement. I have been a certified personal trainer for over 8 years, but my approach has changed drastically over this time. I had previously worked in various gyms working mainly with weight loss clients and found there was a real lack of self love and empowerment through my clients and myself. I wanted to find movement that focused on being mindful and focused on long term wellness. Then, in 2021 I found Pilates, later followed by Barre and I fell in LOVE 😍. I now specialise in low impact strength and Barre and will be completing my Pilates certification with the highly accredited STOTT Pilates in the next couple of months.
I’m also a very proud mum to my son, Leo, who is almost a year and a half. Being a mum is the biggest blessing and it’s made me realise the importance of prioritising your own wellbeing, which we as mums often neglect 😔. That’s why I’m so passionate about working with mums, both pre and post natal, to help them find movement they enjoy and allows them to show up for themselves and their families. I am pre and post natal qualified and offer 1-2-1 sessions in the comfort of your own home, so you never need to worry about childcare 🌈
