Creating Artwork for Interiors

Salon Libertine London is a brand new luxury interior lifestyle brand. We are owned by Victoria Hill Bespoke Soft Furnishings, a successful London based soft-furnishing and interior décor company. Everything we do is driven by our passion for fine art and the decorative arts. All designs have been inspired by Victoria’s love of the masters of Abstract, Colourist, Impressionist and Expressive painting, as well as emerging artists from the London art scene. Colours have also been heavily influenced by our travels to the South of France, India and Morocco. All these influences have been joined by a knowledge of 18th and 19th century European pattern design and the decorative arts. The result is our dramatic debut collection, ‘Ephémère, which incorporates 6 highly decorative designs, and 4 dramatic semi-plains, ‘The Abstracts’. The collection celebrates the ephemeral beauty of nature in a maximalist style. Each element of our designs has been created entirely from original artwork, painted in acrylic and gouache, these have then been digitally manipulated to create patterns of great texture, depth, originality and beauty. The palette ranges from intense and hot, to more gentle pastels, but each is punctuated with flashes of brilliant, vibrant colours.

The designs are printed to order in the UK on 4 base cloths, sublime Irish linen, British cotton velvet, heavy cotton sateen and a cotton silk mix. These are also available as luxurious wide-width wall coverings, again all printed to order in the UK. We are passionate about supporting small British businesses, true artisans and experts in their field, with a heritage and a love for what they do, and this is reflected in our choice of partners to work with.

We profoundly believe in the power of colour to uplift the senses and want you to experience a joyous palette of unrestrained colour in your home. Like great paintings, we hope our designs will delight for years to come and continue to reveal themselves to you each time you look at them.
