Explorers visit Harrogate Foodbank
Monday Cubs had a ball at their Christmas Party earlier tonight after making Christmas themed snacks and gifts in previous weeks.๐๐
The Squirrels have been getting ready for Christmas for the past few weeks and they are looking forward to Christmas Party games this week ๐โ
Last month the Explorers visited a local care home to make a presentation about Scouting, focussing on recent camps. They then chatted with the residents, some of whom had been involved in Scouting previously. The evening finished with a visit to Ice Scoop Gelato which was enjoyed by all.๐จ
Some of the Explorers were at the Hag D**e camp last weekend too, here are a few more pics

Tonight at Beavers we have played โThe Trading Gameโ.
Each lodge started with 5p and had to buy items to complete challenges to earn more money. The lodge with the most money at the end were the winners, and that was the Yellow Lodge tonight, with ยฃ1.37!
Overall every team put in an amazing amount of effort and worked well together to get the challenges done.
All of the work this Thursday earns the Beavers the Money Skills Badge, which is one of the newest Beaver badges.
Congratulations Everyone๐
This week (Monday) at Harlow Cubs weโve been finishing off the Skills challenge badge by designing a healthy meal (not sure where the pizza comes into this) and practicing match skills by lighting candles.
The reward was to toast mini marshmallows!
Thank you so much to all of the Leaders, Parents, Grandparents, Friends and Family who helped out at the Refreshment Day at St. Peter's Church yesterday, we had a very successful day to boost our fundraising.
But the biggest THANK YOU needs to go to the Young People from our group who came along looking very smart in their unforms and helped out. Excellent clearing, cleaning and selling skills on show, whilst chatting to the customers who were very, very impressed to see them in action.
All ready and waiting
Hope to see you all at St. Peter's today.
On Saturday 5th November we are our relaunching our fundraising efforts.
We are holding a Refreshment Day at St. Peters Church 10:00am-3:00pm.
For this to be a success we need volunteers to help run the event, either serving behind the counter, helping clear tables, or baking something for us to sell. An hour or two of your time will make all the difference. Our Young People are welcome too ( in Uniform) although if they are under the age of 11 they need to be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian.
So if you can help in any way please let us know. Thank you.
This week the Squirrel section went on an autumn walk through Valley Gardens. We filled our bags with signs of autumn and saw lots of ๐ฟ climbing trees!
20th Harrogate Squirrels had their first investiture ceremony last week. The squirrels jumped up the tree whilst making their promise. They looked so smart in their uniform!
Just a reminder that we are signed up as a good cause with THE LOCAL LOTTO, this is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in Harrogate District. All good causes supported by the lottery will benefit Harrogate District and its residents.
Play the lottery, support Harrogate District - itโs that simple!
Tickets for the lottery cost just ยฃ1 per week. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of ยฃ25,000! Thatโs a better chance of winning than the National Lottery or the Health Lottery!
Each ticket will consist of 6 numbers and each number will be between 0 and 9. There will be a draw every Saturday night when a 6 digit winning combination will be picked. Prizes will be given to players with tickets that match the first or last 2-6 numbers from the winning combination. Match all 6 and you win the JACKPOT!
Once you pick 20th Harrogate Scouts as your chosen good cause then we receive 50p from each ticket sale towards the funds to rebuild our Scout hut whilst you get the chance of winning the top prize of ยฃ25,000 and other smaller prizes too.
Take a look and support the Scout Group today.
