Never thought the caravan would turn into a furniture showroom/ dumping ground!

I finally got round to upcycling this little table yesterday. It absolutely siled it down all day so I had to use the dining table as my workstation (much to the hubby's despair!)
Quite pleased with the finished product! ,💓

It took a while but I love it! However, it's such a shame there is a blemish on the mirror that I can't get rid of. Seems to be stained from within the glass. Not surprised that the mirror isn't in fantastic shape though, considering the age of the wardrobe.💓

Old Rustic has been very quiet recently. That's because I've not caught up on everything since Christmas. It's not easy being a Pastor's wife, running youth work, being a mum of three and also working as a TA three days a week!
Upcycling furniture is my ultimate love but simply just squeezed for time!!
However, I have just bought this beautiful, heavy old wardrobe which my poor husband had to collect from a flat and carry down three flights of stairs! 🫣😱 I intend to paint in sage green to match my daughter's chest of drawers and hoping to find time to complete on Monday! 💗

Just been to collect this gorgeous little bureau, full of quirkiness and character from a farmhouse in Wookey. Bit of a trek but it was totally worth it. 😍
Unfortunately it's a little bit damaged in places but a bit of wood filler should sort that out. Internally it looks to be in amazing condition.
Now to think about the choice of paint colour. 🤔

This lovely mirror has just been sold this evening.
I must admit that I was in two minds about painting it because once stripped back, the oak was a beautiful colour. However, I think a lick of Frenchic 'Stormy' has livened it up a bit and I'm glad to say it went to a very lovely lady who is doing up her daughter's room in a French theme. She thought it would look pretty hung over her fireplace. I'm hoping she sends me a pic! 💓

I saved this little chest from being smashed up and thrown into the tip!
A solid pine piece that was giving David Dickinson but once I'd stripped it back, given it a lick of my favourite Frenchic ' wise old Sage' and replaced the k***s, it was for purpose once again!
Jemimah has now claimed it for her room! ( And a matching chair) 💗

Feeling a bit overwhelmed at how much furniture I've accumulated in the last couple of days. It's so busy in the snug that you can barely move!
Don't you just love this old Victorian/ Edwardian over mantle mirror? It's going to look amazing in my new Frenchic colour! 💕

As much as I love the 'Wise old Sage', I thought it would also be 'wise' to try out another colour!
So here it is! Super excited to see how my new pieces look in 'Stormy' a gorgeous lilac- ish - grey shade!!! 💓

Yesterday's little project. No idea what it's original purpose was really. Maybe a plant stand or side table, though it's quite tall. Anyway it sold today so someone obviously liked it enough which I'm pleased about! 😃👍💓

Before and after.....A gorgeous chunky pine farmhouse coffee table freshly stripped and painted in sage. ( People are loving this colour at the moment!) Clear wax applied to the surface, retaining natural beauty of the wood.

A lovely day out in Exmoor today.
We turned into the most picturesque village of Bossington to collect a beautiful old oak sideboard. In fact, it's just so beautiful and old that I'm in two minds about painting it.

The lady whom we got it from had recently moved into her lovely cottage which dates back to the 17th century. She said the house was fully furnished on her arrival and is now in the process of renovation which is why the sideboard was no longer needed.

I can't be sure how old this gorgeous piece of furniture is but it has the unique dovetail joints which indicates that it is an antique.
I think this one will take quite a long time to finish if I'm to strip it back to its original colour but I'm sure the outcome will be worth it! 💓

A fantastic, solid, chunky farmhouse style square coffee table.
I forgot to take the 'before' shot but it was very orange!
I stripped back the top to reveal the natural beauty of the pine. Legs and sides painted in Frenchic 'Greyhound'
