Naana Adusei, who we sponsor, was at the World Masters Track and Field Championships in Gothenburg Sweden last weekend.

She came 9th in the 100m & 7th in the 200m placing her in the top 10 in the world in both events. Her group also won a gold medal in the 4x100m relay making them World Champions!🥇

Amazing results! Well done Naana 👏

MAD Academy rider Jake Hopper, who we sponsor, had a fantastic time at in the first weekend of August, riding in front of the MotoGP world championship paddock. Jake Hopper fought hard in the opening race to come away from Silverstone with a 29th place finish.

At Thruxton this weekend Jake rode further strong races in 23rd place on the Saturday and 24th place on the Sunday (a race which was shown live on Discovery+!)

Well done to Jess Abbott who completed her charity challenge of walking the distance of Hadrian’s Wall (approx. 90 miles) in July! She completed the challenge across 17 days of activity in the month both in and on her recent holiday in Spain where it was over 40 degrees some days 🌞

Along with some pictures of her walk, here she is with her shiny medal and a finisher certificate following completion of her virtual challenge! 🏅

Yorkshire Children's Charity

This weekend Callum Halliday, Michael Locke, Sebrina de Veer, Olly Henley, Alex Lillie, Bhavna Parmar and David Lenehan from Bradley Mason ran the York 10K at York Racecourse in aid of Yorkshire Children's Charity! 🏃‍♂️

Olly’s brother Jon, kindly stepped in at the last minute to run on the day as Dan Thompson got injured a few days before but still came along on his crutches to support! Everyone did great and enjoyed the lively atmosphere on the day. Following their exertions the team enjoyed a well-deserved roast dinner afterwards! 🍗

Well done to Daniel Thompson, Alex Lillie, Callum Halliday and David Lenehan who completed their ‘72 holes in 24 hours’ golf challenge last Thursday 18th July. Some great action shots from their day below! 🏌️‍♂️

Their challenge consisted of playing 4 rounds of golf in one day and they ended up walking over 25 miles between 5am and 10pm! And they’re off!….Julian and Keely have started their Coast to Coast cycling challenge today undertaking the 'Way of the Roses', a 171 mile ride over 2 days from Morecambe to Bridlington! Good luck guys! ⛵

The Way of the Roses route was built to celebrate 15 years of the National Cycle Network crafted so riders can enjoy some of the best scenery that northern England has to offer. It passes through the red rose county of Lancashire and the white rose county of Yorkshire.

Young motorbike rider Jake Hopper, who we proudly sponsor, recently competed in a successful weekend of racing at the Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk (Round 4). 🏍

He got off to a steady start on the Friday finishing p28. Saturday qualifying was very wet and grip levels were low yet he managed to finish the session p16, his best qualifying result of the season 👍 In the Sunday race he started at p27 but fought back to take p21 winning a close battle across the finish line by 0.004 seconds!

His first time back on the bike since his crash at Donnington, he is feeling positive and looking forward to building on this result at Brands Hatch circuit in West Kingsdown in a couple of weeks’ time.

Keely and Julian have recently returned from a few days of cycling around Mallorca in preparation for their Coast-to-Coast cycle ride next week. They enjoyed their time in the sun including the ‘must do’ ride to the lighthouse 😎

Last Friday 28th June a team of 9 from Bradley Mason LLP - Julian, Keely, Michael, David, Bhavna, Jess, Sebrina, Callum and Daniel - completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks! ⛰

The weather on the day was mostly rainy, windy and foggy so congratulations to all for finishing – brilliant effort!

The group completed the 25 miles in 9hrs while Julian went on to complete a 4th peak (Pen-Y-Ghent a second time) and did 30.6 miles in 9hrs 25. See below for a few pics of their adventure ⬇

Yesterday, Julian Mason took part in The Great Property Bike Ride 2024, cycling 79k around the Sandown Park Racecourse in Surrey. It was superb weather and he completed the ride in 3hrs 44 mins and came about 26th of 250 riders in the medium distance. Here are some pics he took on the way....🚲

Julian undertook the ride as one of our 2024 20th anniversary challenges and the entrance fee he paid to take part also helped to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.

As part of our 20th anniversary charity challenges for Yorkshire Children's Charity - Julian, Keely, Jess and Sebrina undertook the Monsal Cycle Trail on Friday with sons Harry, Josh and Riley also joining in the fun. Everyone managed at least 20 miles of the trail (with some doing 24 miles) and a fantastic time was had by all in very beautiful countryside. All in all a great family day out 🌞 🚲

Julian decided to give the Strida folding bike an outing. A piece of unusual engineering and it performed very well and got lots of smiles 😃

On Sunday Julian Mason ran the Leeds Marathon. He completed it in under 4 hours. Huge congratulations and what a fantastic achievement - he ran to raise money for Motor neurone disease (MND) awareness. Julian's father in law has been diagnosed with MND and as many of you will know John has been an integral part of the success of Bradley Mason. The fantastic team have chosen to support us as part of Bradley Mason's 20th anniversary this year and have a range of challenges lined up for staff to get involved in, and they've already raised an incredible £3,000 which will allow us to make a huge difference for children in our region. Across the team they're doing a rowing challenge, static bike challenge, the Harrogate 10k, the Yorkshire three peaks and loads more. They're going to be tired, but the impact will be so worth it!

Congrats to Julian Mason who has now completed the final part of the main course in 'Inspirational Leadership' with Quarterdeck! 🎉

Julian would like to thank Laura Bouttell and Brian Coughman for an enlightening and enjoyable journey over the last 6 weeks.

This culminated in a final day where friends, family and colleagues joined for lunch and were entertained with a wide variety of talks on what everyone had taken from the course. Everyone will be back in 3 months to see the changes in everyday work and family life.

The first of our 20 fundraising challenges for Bradley Mason’s 20th Anniversary is complete!

This weekend Ali rowed the distance of the channel at her local gym – she completed 20.6 miles (33,152 metres) in just over four and a half hours 🚣‍♀️

It’s been a week of well-deserved awards and accolades for Senior Partner Julian Mason this week….!

As well as recently winning the 'Mentor Award' at TheBusinessDesk.com Yorkshire Leadership Awards 2024 Julian is currently undertaking an ‘Inspirational Leadership’ course with Quarterdeck and was recently voted by the participants for the best ‘one a day’ leadership action of the week.

Here he is with trainer Laura Bouttell following the vote. He is already past the halfway stage of the course and will be completing it with a 2-day session after Easter.
