A quick note to all coarse/carp anglers

KHV is spreading rapidly throughout the uk, you must dry all nets, mats, slings thoroughly after each trip to avoid cross contamination between venues.

Carrying out this simple task will protect our fisheries from becoming infected.

If you’ve booked ragworm for collection today please collect it by the time you have given us (or tell us if you’re going to be late) or we will sell it on, we have lots of people wanting bait today but we have nothing spare unless there’s any cancellations or “no shows”. Also just a reminder that ragworm is cash only.

Myself (Jessica) and my 13 year old are taking part in a 15 mile midnight walk in London on Saturday night from 10pm for breast cancer research.

We have raised £20 this last two weeks in the change jar on the counter which is amazing!
Over the next couple of days we will be having a few fundraising sale bits in the shop.
My little one has gathered a group of books to sell.
And possibly doing a tombola providing we have enough gifts and chocolates to do so.

Any small contribution will go a long long way.

Fishing up Staunton, Alfie’s caught his first carp at 21lb
And Riley’s has beaten his new personal best with his bream.

And what better way to spend the weekend, outside in the fresh air fishing.

One thing I absolutely love about our shop is the amount of young ones into their fishing.
I’ve noticed a lot of kids growing up and with that, them getting more responsibility.

And the biggest thing that fills me with so much happiness is seeing that, with the new found independence of going out with friends, they choose to spend their personal time fishing.

Spending their spare time in the school holidays fishing. Out in the fresh air, not out causing issues walking the streets or glued to their PlayStations.

These are two very regular faces we see often now. And we couldn’t be more chuffed when we see them come in.

Getting them into something like this, gives them a hobby and keeps them from being out there getting upto no good.
These two are always smiling and polite when they come in and we couldn’t be prouder watching them flourish or serve them.

That’s why we keep a range of affordable products also, to meet all budgets.

Well done lads. Keep coming in. And we’ll be sure to keep giving you your deals 🎣

We will be opening Sundays from the 7th April.

Our usual pattern is to open the weekend after the clocks change.

9am-12pm

If these are not busy days then we may contemplate staying closed Sunday but we know many appreciate the Sunday hours so please let us know.
