AWS Magic Public Events

2021 is drawing to an end, so whilst we plan the calendar of public events for 2022 we will be sharing a few facts about the AWS which you may or may not know.

2021 saw the 110th anniversary of the AWS which Covid made difficult to celebrate properly. This makes the AWS the 4th oldest magic society in the UK!

British Magical Society - founded 1905
The Magic Circle - founded 1905
The Order of the Magi - founded 1909
The Associated Wizards of the South - founded 1911

This heritage is something that all living and current members are extremely proud of, we are very thankful to the founders of the society for starting it all and keeping it alive through many tough times including two world wars!

HUGE thank you to those who attended to either view or support the competitors of the AWS Stage Competition 2021 last night.

Congratulations to Graham Hickman for 'hooking' the win with an excellent routine.

A special mention for the current AWS President Colin Phillips for his renowned compare skills and all those involved behind the scenes in organising and running it all.

Hopefully you all had an evening of entertainment and we sincerely look forward to opening our doors to you all again for something special very soon.

Welcome to the brand new public facing AWS page where we will be keeping you all up to date with fixtures for your calendar of events open to all members of the public.

Many of these events have no entry fee but will all be listed in the individual events themselves. We call the Southern Parishes Conservative Club home - which has a fully stocked bar too!
