The World Health Organization (WHO) Epilepsy Technical Brief that accompanies the Intersectoral Global Action Plan on Epilepsy and Other Neurological Disorders ( ) will be formally launched online on 12 December 2022 from 13:00 to 14:30 CET.
The Epilepsy Technical Brief provides real life examples and tools to support achievement of the ten IGAP targets. ILAE will circulate the final document once it is made available after the launch.

Monica Kendall the Chairperson of local East Kent charity Epilepsy HERE has been a member of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) for nearly twenty years.
Monica was pleased to receive an invitation to join their centenary celebrations by attending a reception at Windsor Castle on Tuesday 2nd April 2019 where she was greeted by H M the Queen and had the opportunity to talk about the work she does as a volunteer with HRH the Princess Royal.
In addition to her work for Epilepsy HERE she runs helpdesks to support neurologist consultants from East Kent University Foundation NHS Trust and the Adult Epilepsy Nursing Team of Kent Community Foundation NHS Trust.

The Kent Parent Carer Forum would like to gather views and experiences from parent carers about the Statutory Assessment Needs process for SEN and assessment for EHCPs. They would like to know whether parents whose children have been assessed feel they were able to participate in the process and whether they feel confident that their children are getting the right help and making good progress.

Next meeting is Tuesday 7th February 2017 at 7.30 p.m. at Canterbury Umbrella Centre. The speaker is Dr Trudy Thomas from Medway School of Pharmacy who has made a study of Anti epilepsy medication and is an excellent speaker.
