We have been having some lovely high tides over the past few days. Watching people paddleboard - swim - kayak in the quay then come to Birdys for a hot drink and a bacon Bap has been so lovely to watch. Sounds like a perfect morning to me 🙌☀️

This afternoon we had a car crash into the side of Birdys, it caused damage to the outside but mainly caused absolute carnage inside. I’ve got some oil burns from the fryer oil flying out but other than that myself and my staff seem to be ok! Just abit shaken up!
I’m mainly posting this to let you all know that it’s abit up in the air if we will be open tomorrow. I’m going to try my best 🙌 the support from everyone around who saw the incident was overwhelmingly amazing and I can’t Thankyou all enough! And for everyone who helped clean up the mess inside (you know who you are) Thankyou so much. I’m so grateful to you all ❤️❤️

(If you were at Birdys or nearby when this happened and would be happy to come forward as a witness I would really appreciate that, as I’m now going to have to deal with a lot of insurance calls 🥹)

With the current heat we are experiencing the van gets very hot! So we have been shutting the griddle/fryers off around 3 (it just makes the van so much hotter with all them on 🥹) So make sure if you fancy some grub to get down before to avoid disappointment.
