Art club made dancing box men. They enjoyed making different characters.

Toddler group were making sandwiches today. We love to play and learn. ❤️

Year 3 and 4 had a great time visiting the historical building Seventeen Nineteen in Sunderland. They worked with artist, Kerry Cook to create some self portraits after exploring some different styles of famous portraits. They also enjoyed a tour of the beautiful building. We all had a wonderful morning.

Some of our children, at Art Club, made wobbly men. We enjoyed making them dance. 🕺 😄

Our weekly toddler group starts again this Wednesday. We look forward to seeing everyone and hope to see some new faces too 🙂

KS1 had a fantastic first day. They explored dojo island and played lots of turn taking games, created some lovely pictures, explored building with blocks and enjoyed the fine motor activities.

We hope you have all had a lovely summer break.
School reopens for children on Thursday 5th September.

Polite reminder to name all items of clothing, particularly coats and jumpers.
Year 1 and 2 need to bring a PE kit (they will be given a PE bag)

KS1 and KS2 had a 'just for fun' sports day while the sun was out!

Our wonderful year 6 children delivered an excellent leavers assembly for us today. We are very proud of how far they have come and are proud to be part of so many memories. Keep a look out for a very special video!

KS1 and KS2 were lucky enough to have the Akademiks visit us again! They had a brilliant time turning the hall into a dance floor.

EYFS and KS1 had a fantastic time on their trip yesterday at Adventure Valley.

Part 2
Y5 and Y6 had a great day at Whickham Thorns Outdoor Activity Centre today. They took part in snow tubing, archery and a very muddy assault course. They were all keen to get stuck in to every activity and they thoroughly enjoyed their day.

On Friday, our talented musicians performed for their families and friends. We are so proud of the progress they have all made this year! Well done everyone and thank you to our wonderful teachers; Mr Hamilton and Mrs Wise.

Year 3/4 had a fantastic time on their trip today. The British weather didn't put them off!

SPORTS DAY CANCELLED.

Cakes/sweets will be sold in school. Please send change with your child.

Anyone booked in for after school club will still receive childcare.

SPORTS DAY is planned for Thursday afternoon.
We will be selling refreshments including cakes, sweets and drinks.
Cakes/sweets will be 50p each.

We will assess the field tomorrow afternoon and confirm whether we will be going ahead with sports day.
If the field is too wet, we will cancel but we will still sell refreshments to the children in school.

The children have been working hard to prepare for their music assembly next week! Here is a little preview of what you have look forward to. The children can't wait to perform and show you how much they have learnt this year.

🧁East Rainton Bake-off🧁
Results are in!!
Our school cook, Louise, had the difficult job of choosing the winner of our Bake-off competition.

There were many fantastic goodies but the final winning entry was a set of delicious, orange sponge cupcakes.
She also awarded runner-up prizes for some beautifully decorated cupcakes, some soft, spongy cupcakes and a delightfully fruity cream sponge cake.

Well done to all of our competition winners and thank you again for all of your support to make this event such a success.
The Family Fun Day made a fantastic profit of £738!! With a further amount yet to be calculated for the profit made by the Rotakids Enterprise Event. Well done everyone!

Class 3 have been using fusion beads to make pictures and patterns. They will be making them into magnets or keyrings to sell on our Rotakids’ Enterprise stall at the Family Funday. Profits from the Enterprise stall will be donated to a charity chosen by the Rotakids.
