🧠 QUIZ ANSWER 🏏

All 4 players started their careers off in a different discipline to the one which they are best known for.

I have done quite a bit of coaching with this young man over winter and beyond. We are half way into the season and it’s been great to see him continue progressing so much.

At only 12 years old we have worked on wicket keeping, batting and bowling and he has performed with all 3 so far this year in different matches. No one knows what you will specialise in later down the line so always keep up with as many disciplines as possible.

🏏 Core principles 💪
The core principles of cricket are a huge focus of my coaching. Different players will develop different techniques based on what feels comfortable for them. The best players have varying styles based on what they want to achieve from their game, from power hitters like Butler to stroke makers like Root. However, the basics behind their games are similar and it does not matter the level of player you are, you can always work on those principles, regardless of whether you have “traditional textbook technique” or not.
