Coach JT
Providing a 1-1, group and online training platform to help you achieve your goals! Health and fitness has been a part of my life from around age 8. Josh Taylor
It wasn't until I was about 15 when I started to realise and understand the true benefits to training and eating well to support your desired goals. this then lead me down the path I am now creating...
After a BSc Sport Science degree, Post Graduate Certificate in Strength and Conditioning and working for over 5 years in professional sport, I have now decided to take my knowledge and experience a
Inside The Every Day Athlete programme we don’t deal in “maybes”
I’m going to set it down here in black and white right now…
You will be my next success story.
No ifs, buts or perhapses… WILL BE.
But how can I be so sure?
Well, over the past 12 years, I’ve collected hundreds of pieces of proof both in professional sport and with every day people…
Thousands of hours of experience…
And invested heavily in professional and personal improvement…
I’ve accumulated lists of clients who have absolutely smashed their goals under the watchful eye of the EDA…
People who have not only come away with a jaw-dropping physical transformation…
But changed their way of thinking and altered their lives beyond recognition as a consequence.
I can count on one hand how many people didn’t get what they came for…
And those people didn’t succeed because they simply wouldn’t stick at it.
I can’t control that.
So, I’d like to make a solemn promise…
If you bring me a willingness to work hard…
I will make you my next success story…
Just like the hundreds of hybrid athletes before you.
Please support my homeslice JJB, it’s also the night before he rumbles the London marathon which is impressive in itself!!
Let’s go my mate!
Current weekly breakdown…
3x lifting sessions - 1x lower, 2x upper
5x running sessions - 50-60 miles / 80-90km total
3500-5000 cals per day (depending on output)
All whilst…
Trying to set the best example to my children as a father and be the best husband to my wife I can possibly be.
Also…
Running an online coaching business that is growing incredibly that needs time to be put back in to allow it to reach its full potential.
Why try to do so much?
Why the f*ck not?
I’m not here to be average, that’s not my purpose.
The reason I set my standards so high is because in order to lead my team I must be a leader.
I must have high expectations of myself first and foremost if I have them for the people around me.
If I shoot high, everyone around me shoots high.
Your vibe attracts your tribe.
Don’t be average, you’re better than that.
DO YOU WANT THE LAST PLACE?
Are you ready to make a commitment?
To the past version of yourself, that dreamed of this.
To the current version of you today, who thinks about it every day?
To the future version of you, who needs you to step up right now?
This isn’t hypey bu****it.
I have literally one more space left.
Here’s what a great candidate looks like:
✅ WANTS TO BUILD PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH - THE BEST VERSION OF THEMSELVES.
✅ WILLINGNESS TO LEARN AND BE COACHED.
✅ BUILD SUSTAINABLE HABITS FOR LIFE.
Sound like you?
Drop me a DM with ‘EDA’ and we will lock it in!
All decisions seem to happen quickly.
* Employing a coach
* Joining a gym
* Deciding what coffee to have…
But I know the decision is the tip of the iceberg.
There’s a LOT of thinking that goes into a decision.
Planning, questions, research etc.
And if you’re still at that stage,
The pre-decision stage,
It shows me you’re serious.
But.
A word of caution.
There’s research…
And then there’s rumination.
Don’t get so caught up in thinking about committing that you never actually get to the commitment stage.
You don’t make changes by thinking endlessly about how to change.
You only need the first step.
Go as far as you can… then you’ll be able to go further.
I need to close this intake soon.
I have some absolute diamonds coming into the programme…
And with only 2 spaces left, I have things I need to do now ahead of our start date.
So here’s an open invite.
We’re 12 weeks out from summer.
If you’re ready, like truly ready…
Hit ‘EDA’ in my DM’s and let’s get your journey started 🚀

This doesn’t surprise me one bit.
A former Royal Marines Commando and Covert Operations leader within the Intelligence fields of the MOD, the man is no stranger to structure and accountability.
A regular on the speaker circuit sharing his unique insights on team, leadership, resilience and mindset, Mike founded in 2020 which is one of Europe’s fastest growing Gracie Barra BJJ facilities. He also co-founded , a business with a mission to help men navigate mid-life and thrive in the second half of life.
Last year Mike also became the fastest British person at the time to compete the solo 3000 mile row across the Atlantic raising £137,000 for Leeds Hospitals Charity.
The man is an absolute savage and is an honour to have him within the EDA programme.
For Mike, achieving this whilst navigating and not compromising on socials over the Christmas period is a huge win. He would self admittedly use this as a reason to overindulge, binge and balloon through the festivities before attempting to jump back on it in the new year. This had been the way for 25 years.
Mike was also undereating whilst performing and found that his high weekly output often led him to crash into sugar at the weekend.
We flipped the script. His structure meant he had a plan he could remain accountable to, make the progress he wanted whilst still being able to enjoy the finer things with his family.
This is gold and a lesson to all out there who feel you need to lead a boring life in order to improve your physical and mental performance and still excel in your career and family life!
We a long way from done yet 😉
A huge welcome to the latest additions to the Every Day Athlete programme!
After speaking to all of these legends at great length, diving into every detail, we’ve got some incredible goals to achieve in the next 90 days and beyond together!
The biggest thing about all 5 of these right here is the recon they’ve all made to take action.
None of them are settling for anything less than their best and you better believe we’ve got all the tools within the programme to get them there!
The biggest thing I come across is lack of action, people are always ‘gonna’ do it.
Or, “I’ll just wait until”
Reality check, there isn’t a perfect time.
“The best time to plant a tree was 10 years ago. The second best time is now.”

Next intake coming March…
Will you be next??
12 weeks of incredible work right here!
4x lifting sessions per week + conditioning
2x runs per week (1 interval / 1 long)
All fit around work, lifestyle, social commitments.
No compromises.
Plus, is a chef so if anyone has the temptation to overeat it’s this guy 😂
Working with so many diverse athletes shows how versatile our programme is.
Our mission is to make you UNSTOPPABLE.
In all aspects of your life and thrive physically, mentally and of course socially!
Are you ready?

Performance 🚀
Listen, this isn’t a boot camp, it’s an educated programme to deliver performance based results like no other.
Every athlete we work with should be fitter, faster, stronger, leaner and more robust as a result of the programme we put in place.
One area we place huge emphasis on is habit building.
Habit building with your training and habit building with your nutrition are vital to your progress and essentially the end result.
Without habits there is no consistency.
The nutrition must be designed around foods you like to consume otherwise it becomes chore like.
The training must consist of not just things you enjoy, but a process driven structure to produce the desired outcome.
It’s hard, and most people shy away from hard.
But inevitably, hard it was separates the good from the great.
We’re not here to be good, and neither are you.
Are you ready??
You don’t have time for generic s**t.
Your life is high quality, and you live by high standards.
Instagram “influencers”, which is a bu****it term if you ask me…
Pushing their “custom” plan that 3000 people buy…
Just doesn’t wash with you.
You want a REAL solution, not a stopgap.
Big goals like building a high performance physique and an unstoppable mindset require expertise to achieve.
And you’re confident you could do it given enough research.
But time is something you don’t have.
You need to trust someone else with the knowledge to help you.
Someone who will build a relationship with you… that will learn how you tick.
That will provide you with a service above and beyond your average trainer.
To get you the phenomenal results you want.
At The Every Day Athlete we pride ourselves on getting phenomenal results.
Whilst providing an uncompromising 5-star service.
We don’t offer a cheap product, but we don’t provide a cheap service.
But that won’t bother you when we blow your mind with the results we get for you.
If you’re ready to change yourself now, don’t waste time; let’s talk it through.
I always wanted to be a professional athlete, rugby league player specifically.
I was just 20 in the first photo, this was the UK advert for university rugby league and the dream was alive.
I did everything to succeed at it, loved everything about it and became obsessed with the process of training, nutrition, playing and competition.
The reality was I simply wasn’t good enough to make it at top level.
Instead, I could use a burning passion, drive and build a skill set through continuous education and experience and use it to help others.
Working endless hours for no money just to gain experience working with as many coaches as I could and learn what it takes to coach the best athletes in the world.
I came out of university at 21 with my first part time role as head of academy strength and conditioning at the Huddersfield Giants.
Accelerate through the years…
First team S&C coach with Salford Red Devils, England RL academy, USN supplement sponsorship, before stepping away from full time professional sport a few years later.
I didn’t know it at the time but this was the birth of the Every Day Athlete programme.
I was still intrigued as to how far I could push myself both physically, mentally and essentially demonstrate what is possible to those around me and the people I work with.
👉🏻 3 mile swim - 230 mile cycle - 33 mile run
👉🏻 British record - 277,423m indoor row in 24 hours
👉🏻 215 mile coast to coast run in 46 hours, 53 minutes.
👉🏻 London marathon - 2:52:12
👉🏻 Berlin marathon - 2:45:02
Throughout recent years and even to present I’ve been fortunate enough to consult within multiple professional sports and athletes alike.
My ambition to this day remains the same as when I started, just with much more clarity and direction - to provide a professional sport environment and programme that supports the development of every day people who want to train and look like an athlete.
Just like I did.
Elite level athletes are considered super human - strong, lean, fast, fit, robust.
This is everything that the EDA programme is built upon, and delivered through our mission of creating unstoppable humans with an armour to withstand ANYTHING.
One of the 3 core pillars of the Every Day Athlete programme is having a POWERFUL MINDSET.
Within this pillar one of the main 3 drivers is building STRONG HABITS.
Anyone who’s ever achieved anything in life has done so with some pretty strong habits in place.
The idea is that our habits become unconscious decisions, whilst these habits may be small daily wins, these wins compound and over time, shape your success.
over the last 12 weeks has created daily habits which have been delivered around his nutrition, recovery, and being a professional athlete, his training.
The man looks mega, but more importantly when it comes to sport and performance, feels mega!
You MUST be an instrument as well as an ornament, it’s no good looking great if you feel and perform like s**t.

In the shape of his life just a couple a week out from the season opener!
People don’t realise what they’re capable of until they start, then we show them 😉
I don’t care who you are…
You give a s**t about how you perform - you care that you can’t run like you used to be able to, or, you see other people training the house down and you ‘kinda’ want it but you just haven’t made that commitment with yourself yet.
You give a s**t about how you look - if you’re overweight, don’t tell me you wouldn’t like to be in shape because you would, you just haven’t made it a priority yet.
You’ve not tried every programme out there, or every diet Google has to offer (because you’ve not tried mine yet 😉) and if you had you’d be sticking to what had worked previously instead of being on this hamster wheel of progress, drop off, progress, drop off.
You see, one thing we focus on here is building incredible habits. Bulletproof habits. Habits become your character and your character becomes your destiny.
Truth is, majority of you haven’t instilled the habits long enough for them to stick, for you to change permanently.
What if you could change that?
What if we could educate you on how to build daily, weekly, monthly habits that leads to life long change?
Change that had you feeling, performing and looking your best year round!
Now who doesn’t want a bit of that?!
One of the biggest things about the EDA programme is the education around your nutrition.
How to fuel performance, how to improve your body composition, how to gain lean tissue and how to look like an Adonis 😉
We dig far deeper than the others, that’s what makes the programme so good!
So what do we look for when it comes to nutrition education and selection?
🚀 Foods you enjoy - compliance is the science!
🚀 Easily digestible carbs / foods - the less bloat / gastric discomfort the better. If you can’t digest it, you can’t use it!
🚀 Adequate protein - support the growth and regeneration of lean tissue. Needs to be higher for athletes than sedentary clients.
🚀 Essential fats - hormonal support and regular function of our organs.
🚀 Electrolytes and salts - load pre, replenish post. aids cellular hydration.
One of our highest performers in the last 3 months right here.

This is what high performance coaching and ex*****on looks like.
You still sat on the fence? 🤔
What if I were to tell you that most people will never reach their full potential as a hybrid athlete because they have zero intelligence as to how they structure their programming.
It’s all well and good training ‘everything’ but with little to no direction you’re just throwing s**t at the wall and seeing if it sticks.
Sound like you?
Here’s a quick easy, 3 steps to troubleshoot your programming issues…
1. What do you need to prioritise?
Where are you s**t right now, running? Lifting? Implement this through 50% of your training week.
2. Does your training week allow for optimal recovery?
If we can’t recover, we’re constantly pouring from an empty cup. Avoid back to back heavy central nervous system days (max strength / sprints etc) and include some kind of longer / zone 2, less intense work between. Many people think more is better, often your training volume we need to be pulled back, especially lower body when running mileage is higher.
3. Strength underpins all.
If you’re not including some specific strength work within your training that you can progress each week how can you expect to see longer term improvements?
Don’t look past the basics - squat, hinge, lunge, push, pull etc…
The training systems we use within the Every Day Athlete programme account for all the above. Specific markers allow us to monitor where each client is day by day, week by week.
As you’ll see from the results, they’ve no choice but to progress!
“Nothing is impossible for a person who refuses to listen to reason.”
This little gem comes from Gary Halbert - one of the greatest marketers of all time.
Right now, you might be feeling a little overwhelmed with your fitness journey.
And if you are - you certainly aren’t alone.
It’s been a weird time for lots of you and the pressure has built 💎
Here’s another perspective…
…WHAT IF YOU’RE JUST SURROUNDED BY SNOWFLAKES?
Not to be rude, but they don’t have what you have.
They don’t have the guts.
They don’t have the same heart you do.
They don’t have a TASTE for this life like you do.
And that’s a problem.
Because this doubt dialogue can run 24/7 and corrode your conviction from the inside out.
Worse still, if you start to believe it.
My friends, we are living in a time where there’s so much opportunity that we’re choking on it.
There is no lack.
If anything, the only problem we face is choosing which opportunities demand our attention first.
There is an abundance of choice.
For you. Today.
And it’s WASTED when we meet that with caution.
One day, you’re going to be old.
And these opportunities will have passed you by.
Your grandchildren are going to look at you (probably in the Metaverse as holograms or something) and ask;
“You were alive back THEN?! The golden age of the internet?! What did you do to take advantage of it???”
Refuse to listen to “reasonable” people.
They’re ordinary.
F*ck that life.
Be defiant ⚔️
This is why I love this fitness thing…
What a f*cking do that was!
First Hyrox comp and loved every minute of it.
My man on the left of me here was like Forrest Gump and set an unreal pace, back and forth all the way to the end until silly bo****ks here entered the burpees a lap early having miss counted 😂
Went round in 60 minutes but ended up with 2 penalties so 1.10 on the clock official.
Zero regrets, zero bitterness, savage course!
So many people talk about tactics of holding back on some, pushing harder on others, f**k that go hard from the start and cling on for your life, embrace the suffering, dig for that diesel and take yourself to a place you’ve never been before, that’s growth!
Some champions throwing down there, regardless of your ability you’re all hero’s for ripping in and living your best life!
Next up is the 100 miler in May.
LFG.
Keep showing up.
The wisest words you’ll read all day.
One of my favourite quotes…
“Life is like a grindstone. It either sharpens you up or grinds you down. It just depends what you’re made of”.
Any transformation is a bit of a rollercoaster.
And a fitness goal is no different.
If getting fit and in shape was easy, everyone would have achieved it, right?
When we have goals of improving marathon times, becoming a hybrid athlete, improving your body composition and leading a higher quality of life,
There will inevitably come a time when things get tough.
Life becomes more stressful…
Your sleep might be disrupted…
And maybe training feels like you’re phoning it in.
But do you know what?
That’s totally normal.
As an Every Day Athlete we don’t expect our clients to be robots.
Nobody can be on it 100% all of the time.
BUT,
Keep showing up.
Because showing up and doing something is always better than not showing up at all!
No one ever regretted the workout they did let me tell you…
Inside the EDA we provide world-class support.
Support that will get you through the challenging times…
Support that has been tried and testing through years within professional sport.
When life keeps on lifing…
Nothing has ever stopped us from getting our clients the results they deserve…
NOTHING.
I’ll be waiting for you.
What if I were to tell you…
“The magic you’re looking for, is in the work you’re not doing”
The amount of people I hear and speak to on a regular basis who:
Can’t get in shape…
Yet don’t train frequent enough or have little to zero structure to their nutrition.
Don’t have time for the gym…
Yet can tell you everything about the latest Netflix doco.
Train like a bodybuilder or a typical ‘gym bro’ split…
Yet continue to get injured on a weekend playing their chosen sport.
You’re not where you want to be because you keep persisting with the same actions and habits you always have done.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.
As humans we gravitate towards things we’re good at, it gives us instant satisfaction, but hinders our long term progress.
Analyse what you’re missing, prioritise it, like actually prioritise it, not just for a week but day in day out and watch yourself grow.
This is the foundation to our programme.
Too many to mention but these legends are just a few of the latest additions to the EDA programme.
Everyone who comes into the programme is an every day person just like you. They all have jobs, families, business etc.
But
They are all here for the same thing…
To be the best version of themselves possible.
This means training, performing and looking like and athlete.
This also means setting goals and targets that they can remain accountable to not just themselves but to each other within the EDA community.
We have had some incredible people involved in the programme, and these guys are just more examples of the calibre of person we are so fortunate to work with.
We do things different to the average here.
Anyone can be average.
But not you.
If you’re still sat on the fence, have a look at what you could be apart of ☝🏻
Let’s go.
Lack of implementation is what’s standing between where you are now and where you want to be.
Most people talk a good game when it comes to goal setting, ambitions, desires, dreams of where they want to get to.
Very few take action.
This is driven by fear.
Fear of failure.
The best and most successful people in the world have all failed, at some stage, I guarantee it.
This is how you grow, learn and develop.
“Fear kills more dreams than failure ever did”
Moral here…
Send that message.
Start that business.
Make that transformation.
Start implementing.
Wtf have you got to lose?!
The goal should never be for it to get easier.
You just get better.
🎯

2024 PRIMARY FITNESS GOALS:
⬇️
HYROX MANCHESTER - JAN 27th
SNOWDONIA 100 MILE ULTRA - 10th MAY
NEW YORK MARATHON - 3rd NOV
(Pending application 1st week in March)
ALL of my clients have goals, targets, aspirations that we’re working incredibly hard towards.
It doesn’t matter how big or small the goal may seem, you must have a vision as to where you want to be.
I’m no different.
How can I expect that from them, yet they not expect that from me?
In order to lead, I must be the example.
Starting in 2 weeks.
👊🏻
Some long zone 2 miles to finish off a Friday!
If there’s one thing you absolutely cannot substitute when training for a marathon or an ultra, it’s time on your feet.
No matter how fast / slow you are, you MUST spend a significant amount of your training building volume.
You could simply stand for 24 hours and you’d be sore trust me, now try and run for that length of time.
This is the MOST COMMON area people overlook.
Interesting that this distance was one of the highest when prepping for Berlin, albeit quicker.
Yet this will be one of the lowest distances as we start to prep for 100 miler in May.
Embrace the monotony and get used to some long slow sloggers.
3 SPACES LEFT
Yesterday I encouraged you to ask questions.
And you DEFINITELY went hard on that question box.
I’m glad.
Thank you.
But one of those questions was:
When are you opening the doors again.
To be fair, I don’t know.
It’s a s**t answer, and I’m sorry.
But the thing is…
This isn’t about filling spaces.
I don’t want more *PEOPLE* for the sake of it.
I want more success stories.
It’s not a numbers game for me.
It’s about changing people’s lives with health and fitness.
And getting them results that they’ve dreamed about - sometimes for years.
That takes focused effort on my part.
Because these relationships matter to me.
So I won’t make any promises about the date I’ll open my doors again.
I’ve got 3 seats left at the table before I’ll be full for the January intake.
Turn on post notifications if you want to keep an eye on when they fill up.
This isn’t about rushing you into a decision.
But rather to give you an idea of the sort of people I help with…
And the kind of results they achieve 📈😮💨
All decisions seem to happen quickly.
👉🏻 Employing a coach

👉🏻 Trying out a new recipe
But I know the decision is the tip of the iceberg.
There’s a LOT of thinking that goes into a decision.
Planning, questions, research etc.
And if you’re still at that stage…

I have some absolute diamonds coming into the programme…
And with only 4 spaces left, I have things I need to do now ahead of our start date.
So here’s an open invite.
If you’ve got questions - you know where I am.
Let’s go 🚀
We’re already half full.
Massive congratulations to the action takers getting stuck in this time round.
And if you’re reading this, full of FOMO…
It’s not too late.
P.S. You can get a response faster in my DMs.
That’s where all the action is 😉
Currently got 3 more potentials discussing their goals and how I can help them.
This is key.
My programme is not a one size fits all.
I want hybrid athletes and runners.
Whether it be your first Hyrox or your 10th
A 1/2 or full marathon
Maybe an Ironman triathlon
I want to hear from you.
This is where you’ll take your performance to the next level.
All the knowledge and experience I’ve gained from my time in professional sport,
I’m now giving to you.
Are you ready?
5 spaces left.
Let’s go 🚀
Training for the is well underway way it’s fair to say!
Some productive easy miles over the festive period and ripped into some hill efforts today to replicate some of the climbs.
Now, the part people struggle with most is the downhill. The eccentric loading far exceeds the demands they’ve trained for (more over on my stories!)
Todays session was:
1.2 mile easy warm up
8x 500m hill effort
Big focus here is actually running at a decent pace back down hill, for the very reason I touched on above, the eccentric demands are much higher on the downhill so we must replicate that!
7.5-8 mile session all up (the last rep you can see I recorded both the up and down for comparison rather than just the up on the others)
My training will loosely be as follows…
2-3 easy miles runs per week (15km)
2 interval based seasons (hills and flats)
1 long run
3 strength sessions per week with big eccentric focus along with some plyo / decoration work.
Gonna be an interesting ride that’s for sure!
