Jenny Abrie Art
Hobby wildlife artist mainly working with carbon pencil.
I can now share what I had been working on for my last project. Meet Ted π a wonderful cutie with way too much fur π
Rough sketch of my next piece, looks more of an angry anime drawing than a realistic wolf atm π
This piece will be going on sale next year, if anyone is interested in purchasing please let me know at [email protected]
A3, graphite on mixed media paper. Thanks π
Details, details and more details!!! Small snip of a surprise piece 𧩠π
Drawing with an etcher, yet my hands are filthy π the life of an artist π€©
With International Dog day just gone, what better way to commemorate than the wonderful Kye
Chipping away.... Not been able to sink time into this recently but will do what I can when I can!! πͺπͺ
Can't put it off any longer.... Only the trunk left π€£
Closer... But still a very long way to go yet π₯°
Now we are motoring ππ
Sat watching TV, testing out new paper π
Base layers are always tricky to get right π I have a few exciting commissions lined up and sorting my website so finishing some technique based work before progressing πͺπͺ
Putting some hours in on the bank holiday βΊοΈ
The road map is back on the easel!! π Cracking on with the skin texture, doing this one slightly differently with different pencils, excited to see how this one turns out π
Working on a few things at the moment but managed to finally get my stag framed βΊοΈ This item will eventually be for sale, but for the moment takes pride place above the mantle piece π₯
Soft eyes, the windows to the soul π a good few hours in now, my favourite part of blocking and filling in now ππ
Work in progress.... Different textures present different issues, this one is certainly testing me so far.... Trail and error...!!
And a new adventure is about to begin, another new texture this time. Can't wait to get started on this one!
Aside from a few details, this one is complete π I wonder what's next? π€π€π€
Getting towards home straight territory now ππ
Throwback Thursday π» my big bear!
Made some SERIOUS progress on this today. So happy with it after a dodgy start, on towards the finishing line now. Full steam ahead! π₯°
Quick sketch while watching a movie. Can't remember the last time I drew a face π€π€ It's very difficult for me to concentrate on a face rather than the horse π€£ will finish at some point π
After a rather shaky start due to some unfortunate scratches on the paper that I didn't see causing me a right headache.... I think we are back on track, I didn't want a fully black background but having to adapt on this one!! π
Rosie has finally gone to her new home π enjoy!!

I was excited to see what texture would be produced for the antlers, I didn't really have too much of a plan. Experimenting is the name of the game! I find them quite fascinating with the different gradient, will be interesting to see what happens when I introduce the carbon pencils to the etched areas. Glad this is giving me an extra challenge!! Can't wait to spend some more time progressing this. Bring on tomorrow βΊοΈ
