Stukeley Hotel & Pub

It was with a heavy heart I handed over my hotel keys and all responsibility for Stukeley hotel this morning. Walking around the building looking at all we achieved felt satisfying but disappointing that we can’t stay and do more. I will miss it very much.
As times has passed the ability and opportunity to do what we wanted to has been taken away with lots of different circumstances. I would like to say that when/if someone opens the door again they are given time, space and a huge amount of understanding. If you don’t understand a decision made then just ask the management !!!!

There has been some confusion regarding staff for this evening (our mistake) so the hotel will not be opening. We will open at 12pm tomorrow 😁

Hi all, as our tenancy finishes over Easter weekend our last day of opening will be Friday 29th March.
Best wishes to all who supported us and we hope the hotel re-opens very soon after this date.

Sadly tomorrow will be the last night of our kitchen being open. We are no longer able to provide evening meals. Thanks to all who have chosen to eat with us in the past whether it be dinner or at an event.

After 5 years we will be leaving Stukeley hotel on Monday 1st April. It has been a rollercoaster with a few ups but many downs, however we have persevered and continued to do our best until the very end. This has cost us emotionally and financially but can leave with our heads held high.
Post Covid has proved that the village on the whole don’t need a pub but we have continued to try and have events and serve food and drinks. Our rooms have been really successful which has kept us afloat. At this moment there is no serious interest in anyone keeping the hotel open however if that changes we wish them well and hope they receive the support deserved.

We need a lunch time waitress and washer up at Stukeley today from 12ish until 3pm. Can anyone help ?

We are looking for someone who enjoys cooking and has basic knowledge of food service to help in our kitchen over the festive period. Would be required to cook occasional breakfast plus serve our readily prepared home made food from our menu a couple of evenings per week. Everything is made and ready for service and full training will be given. We need help for 4 weeks (maybe longer 😁)

Hi all, we are delighted to now be open and warm 😁 we are still unable to open our kitchen until Sunday however we can guarantee it will all be as normal from Monday onwards.

Looking for help to deep clean our kitchen at Stukeley hotel today 🙏 we have had a new boiler and required pipe work installed and now need to get things ship shape before re-opening at 5pm today. Can anyone help please 🙏

Good evening everyone. After a very traumatic time of forced closure we have been given a 90% confirmation that by tomorrow at 3pm we can reopen and (drum roll) we will have heating 🥳🥳🥳
As all our rooms are full throughout the weekend so we will endeavour to catch up & carry on and look forward to a busy festive season 🎄🎄🎄

Hi all, as some of you are aware already we have been without heating for 11 weeks now. We are in constant battles with various departments of our brewery, Stonegate, who keep passing us from one to another with as yet no result. Due to declining b&b guests, who understandably don’t wish to stay in cold accommodation we have decided to temporarily close until we hear that work will be taking place. ☹️
This could be tomorrow however again we are getting no answer to our calls.
Having just released our Winter & Christmas menu we hope it will be brief and are back open within a few days.
Can we add that we have been told by Stonegate that even though they are taking so long to provide us with a business fit for purpose closing is breaching our tenancy agreement 🤷‍♀️
They expect us to remain open and continue payments to them with very little income.
It is a frustrating & devastating situation for all of us at the hotel but we sincerely hope to see you all very soon. Please watch out for any updates on our page 🙏
