This we're shining a light on our sister outlet Unique Ness, our hub of pre-loved furniture. Here our talented team transform each piece into something completely new and unique. All proceeds from Unique Ness are re-invested back into New Start Highland's charitable services.

Without our volunteers, New Start Highland would not exist. This week, and every week, we celebrate the people who donate their time, share their skills or come to learn new ones, helping us on our journey towards building a stronger community.

Did you know we have refurbished over 11,000 bikes since we launched our bike service almost ten years ago? We also offer training programmes in bike repair and refurbishment where trainees learn technical skills from our talented bike technicians which help them progress into further education or employment.

DID YOU KNOW we run a variety of training courses here at New Start Highland? Our brilliant trainer Martin has over 40 years' experience running comprehensive accredited courses. We have sessions covering Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work or the First Aid at Work Refresher Course. We have news! From TODAY we have extended our opening hours. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday our two retail outlets at Carsegate Road, Inverness, are open 10am-4pm. But on Thursdays we're open for longer and you can come browse and pick up some second hand sensations from 9am - 6pm. See you there? 🙏

Today on we are marking the fact we have distributed 3,213 food packs in the last month. We are so passionate about reducing food waste we run cookery courses which teach how to cook well, on a budget. In our beautiful New Start Highland - Gardens we grow all sorts of fruit and veg from seed which is then sent to food banks and included in our packs. 🌱 🥗🥙🥪🌮
