Open Acrylic test 💙👏

I decided to invest in a pack of as the community often talk about the great results they produce on the gel plate.

For those of you who haven’t heard of these paints…open acrylics are a lot thinner than regular student grade acrylics, they allow you to pick up fine details and they have a longer drying time, really helpful for those of you who live in a warmer climate. 😀

My first attempts came out really well, using the dried flowers I uncovered today.

I think I’ll use these as part of a new painting I’m working on. Feeling quite inspired today 😀🤩🥰

Dried flower reveal 🌸 I was excited to see how these plants had dried over the past year. They were placed between sheets of paper and weighted down with heavy boxes in my shed. “Mindfulness in Drawing - Wendy Ann Greenhalgh

This is such a delightful book, it really inspired me to pick up my pens and pencils to just do some drawing just for relaxation.

It’s the first time I’ve felt in the creative flow for a while now. Note to self…do more drawing ✍️ it is good for me 😀✍️✏️❤️

It’s been quite a few weeks since I’ve managed to film a new tutorial for you guys.

This mountain Loch scene is very simple with a gelli plate, ripped paper and a new technique I picked up from which was to sprinkle charcoal dust to create that beautiful texture, I think it gives an aged Polaroid feel to the print…very cool 🖤🖤🖤

Studio news! 🙌

This has been in my sometime/maybe list for a few years now. I wanted to have a bigger studio in a collaborative space with other artists. I’ve just secured this 224 sq ft space in 🎉🍾🎊

My mind is buzzing with ideas 💡 for how I can design this space!

There is a large room for hosting workshops and a cafe in the building so it is ideal for in person bigger workshops in the future which I know many of you were waiting for 🙌😀
