Spent Saturday morning replacing an old consumer unit along with earth bonding to gas pipe.

After working the last 3 Saturdays in a row I think I’m due a holiday!

Started the day in Bramford adding a couple of extra sockets for TV’s before heading to a hotel near Woodbridge to fix a fault on a swimming pool pump and steam generator.
Finished the day in Ipswich installing a hive wireless thermostat for J White Plumbing & Heating

It’s been a busy day installing CCTV at a property in Ipswich and Holbrook

Nice death trap of an extension lead found while carrying out an electrical installation condition report in ipswich!

I unfortunately didnt realise at the time one end was plugged in so I got a nice shock from this.

The most surprising thing though was that it was the previous electrician that made this up for the customer!

Couldn’t have picked a better day to install a new circuit to power this air conditioning unit in Felixstowe today!

Spent Saturday morning installing an electrical vehicle fuseboard and a 7KW Zappi EV charger near Henley Road. The sun was shining so picked a perfect day for it.
Now to enjoy the rest of the weekend!

I was recently called out to a property where the customer had been using the manufacturers supplied electric vehicle charger lead on a 13A plug top to charge their vehicle.

As you can see being under constant use has started to melt the plug and has also damaged the external double socket!

This could have potentially started a fire but was luckily spotted in time

The customer has now booked me in to supply and install a dedicated 7KW Zappi electric vehicle charger to prevent this happening again.

I’ve spent the last couple of days working in this beautiful garden in Creeting.
2 new fuseboards installed, power and lighting in the garden room, 2 external sockets and 2 data points in the garden room with the cables contained in conduit on the external wall.

Today I’m heading out to Bedingfield to do some fault finding and get some remedial work finished from an unsatisfactory electrical installation condition report

Both switches have neon indicators and have been labelled for easy visibility for an elderly customer in ipswich.
This one was a tight squeeze and only just fit!

Last year I carried out an electrical installation condition report on this property over stoke park.
I returned today to replace the fuseboard in the house along with the fuseboard in the garden shed aswell as upgrading the supply cable to the shed which previously had no earth!
All wrapped up within a day, another satisfied customer!

Trying to catch up on paper work but this silly sausage won’t leave me alone!

Only half an hour early for work today 😂

I’ve had a few quotes to get out tonight and Milo the sausage insisted on helping!

I brought the other half along to work today and we didn’t kill each other. Success!

A 7KW Zappi EV charger installed for a customer in Cretingham this week. (Yes I even sweep up my own mess!)

I may as well of stayed in bed today! I spent 3 hours trying to escape rural Suffolk to get home.
Eventually a farmer saved me and got me back to the A140

Another day another faulty shower pull cord! I’ve lost count of how many of these I’ve had to replace.

This was most likely caused by a loose cable and poor termination. It just goes to show the importance of having your electrical installation checked.
