Did you know two-thirds of people still follow their local news?

The new Ofcom survey also found that social media is the most common way people consume local news (54%), above word-of-mouth (50%), websites/apps (32%) and print (22%).

Notably, local news still appeals to younger audiences with the research showing 49% of 16-24s follow local news and current affairs. This rose to 73% for over-55s.

Record attendance as thousands visit venue's last Christmas shopping event The last Christmas Shopping Event at Wherstead Park near Ipswich saw a record breaking 6,500 people attend over the three days.

The Social Worker of the Year Awards was a smash hit!

The PLMR Genesis team ran a heartfelt celebration on behalf of the charity, supported by host Ashley John-Baptiste.

The awards shone a light on outstanding and creative Social Workers across England.

Guest speakers included the Children’s Commissioner Dame Rachel de Souza.

We’re counting down to Friday when the team will once again be producing The Social Worker of the Year Awards in London, celebrating great social work across the country.

Hosted by BBC journalist and presenter Ashley John-Baptiste, we manage the awards ceremony on behalf of the charity as well as the event’s PR, social media and website.
