Project 6 was formed in 1989 by a group of parents concerned about their children’s substance use. The organisation grew from a single member of staff to a current staff team of 40. We respond to emerging need quickly and efficiently and pride ourselves in being flexible and service user driven. This we want to highlight the harms experienced by friends and family helping a loved one facing challenges around their alcohol use.

The Concerned Others service in Keighley provides support and advice for those family members who often feel so alone in what they are dealing with. They are also the ones who are most likely to be there if their loved decides they want to make changes.

From the 1st July we'll be based at Cumberland St in the city centre.

Nitazenes (extremely high-strength synthetic opioid) have been found in the he**in supply in Sheffield, suspected of contributing to deaths. Nitazenes have also been found in drugs sold as benzodiazepines.

It is with regret that we are announcing the closure of the Journey service in Sheffield. We want to thank the team for all their amazing work and commitment to this service.

The project works with women at risk of involvement with the justice system who are looking to make changes around their use of alcohol and other drugs.

Journey will continue to run until May 31st.

It is with regret we are announcing the closure of Wharfe Valley Pathways. Due to changes to the funding structure, we are no longer able to sustainably deliver this project.

Since 2021 Wharfe Valley Pathways has been delivered in partnership between Project 6, The Cellar Trust and Keighley Healthy Living. It has provided accessible and non-judgmental support for people in Ilkley and the surrounding area who have experienced challenges to their health and wellbeing. This has included support around mental health, benefits and housing, access to foodbanks, substance use, domestic abuse, health and wellness, as well as referrals to other organisations.

We would like to take this opportunity to thanks to NHS Integrated Care Board, Wharfedale Community Health Partnership, Christchurch Ilkley, Primary Care Network, Social Prescribers, Carers’ Resource and residents of Ilkley and surrounding areas.
