Three months on from the Coronation of King Charles III, our archives have turned up the menu for ice cream treats meant for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953!
This comes courtesy of Driver's Milk Bar - an old neighbour of our very own Speak's Workwear.
If you look closely, you'll see R Speak & Co. in the same spot it stands today!

This photo, as far as we have been able to make out, was taken when Speak's moved from Bridge Street to Lawkholme Crescent (where it still currently is!)
This means that this photo was most likely taken towards the end of the 1930s - as Speak's moved premises in June 1938.

History Sunday #1 π
Today, we are looking at a very interesting photograph, featuring Speak's!
This little bit of history comes to us from 1939, just months before the start of World War 2. The Mayor of Keighley, Alderman T. Duerden, and mace-bearer, Rufus Benstead, are being treated to an unusual ride in a tank, during a recruiting drive for the Territorial Army.
