Dovetailed Pippy Oak keepsake box with a sliding tray and hand carved initials.
Natural edged oak dining table. When such a large tree has to be felled it's nice to know that it will be appreciated for many years to come.
We were asked to replicate an existing sideboard but to make a two door, two drawer version. It's always nice to see and appreciate the quality of past makers craftmanship. Their choice of heavily figured quartered oak gave us a challenge to find but we managed to source some pretty impressive boards. Brass swan neck drop handles also cast and made from the originals.
Minimalist clean lines. American black walnut wardrobe with continuous grain running from the floor to ceiling. It took an unusual order of construction to ensure the grain ran through compensating for door gaps but it was well worth the care taken. Often the simplest of things are the most complicated to achieve.
A kitchen island designed to look substantial and it certainly was! Possibly the heaviest cabinetry to come out of the workshop.
A kitchen designed and made to last the test of time. Made from oak and designed to be able to take the knocks and wear that over time will add to the character of the piece.
A pair of bathroom vanity cabinets made from english oak with a slatted shelf.
An oak breakfront wardrobe with bi-fold doors and integrated lighting. Mouldings matched and scaled from existing panelling in the room. It's the finer details that make this personal to both the owner and cottage.
Bespoke understairs drinks unit, a great way to create a feature for your drinks selection and optimise often unused space at the same time.
Bespoke dining table made from burr elm to seat 10-12 people. The top is bookmatched from the fork/crutch of an elm tree and made with its natural waney edge and glass inlay.
Walk-in Wardrobes designed to maximise the use of space without being to overpowering, made from solid Ash with intergrated leds to give a light and airy feel.
Jointing up traditional piston fit draws. Some beautiful grain within the quarter sawn oak.
Sample sideboard door fronts. One natural and one ebonized.
A substantial Oak bench, designed to tie into the green Oak framing of the porch.
Sycamore and Walnut wardrobe with a belt and tie tray. Integrated lighting within the hanging space and three drawers below. The second piece of a bedroom set. The first being a chest of drawers.
Set of three nesting tables. The largest with an extending leaf to accommodate board games. Made from lake District oak.
A set of three nesting tables. The largest with an extending leaf to accommodate board games. Made from lake District oak.
Wall to wall bookshelves. Scribed around an existing beam keeping the character of the room on show. Looking forward to seeing these full of books.
American Black Walnut and Beeswax Steel Alcove Book Shelves.
Thanks to the talented for fabricating the metal work.
Farmhouse dining table with hand turned Mahogany legs and a substantial solid Oak top. Made for who’s attention to detail in designing the leg profiles paid off.
Characterful Ripple Sycamore Saloon Bathroom Door. Sometimes simple designs allow the wood to speak for itself.
A break from the workshop to mill a client's cedar tree. A large dining table to be made from the timber and a story and connection maintained. Limited access meant a chainsaw mill was the best option for low impact damage to the garden. Seasoning underway ready to be kiln dried then it'll be time to start making the table!
Chest of drawers, made in sycamore with walnut detail. Fitted with a built in laundry bin. Scribed to some far from flat walls which always makes designing and fitting a good challenge.
When you try to make the light switch as discreet as possible. Its all in the details.
Large display wall unit handmade in solid Oak, designed to offer a combination of storage, bookshelves and display areas along with integrated lighting, seat and drinks cabinet.
Glazed unit made to go into a 15th century hall with the galzed doors designed to reflect the details in the mullion windows in the room.
Hand turned decorative Yew box with contrasting ebony finial.
Dining table and benches made using a Beech tree from the customers childhood garden, thankfully no nails were found but we did come across some air rifle pellets he would have shot as a child.
A pair of hand turned grass tree root vases with walnut bases.
The brief was to design and make a bunkbed with a removable ladder that would be in keeping with the house's original architecture, make the most of the available space and incorporate the use of new and reclaimed timber. You'd almost believe it had been there for years.
