Why Does Vintage Furniture Get Such a Bad Rap? What is it about the word "Vintage" that doesn't quite click when it's associated with "furniture"?

So much to catch up on behind the scenes before I go and decide what my next project will be. I've had so long 'off' that I've forgotten what furniture I even have left to paint🤨

It's nice to be back and finally feeling in the right frame of mind to actually get back on it properly.

Sold via eBay on Sunday and will be on its way down to Essex in the next week or so 🥰❤️

Nearly a month since my last post 😳

Unsure where that month has gone if I'm honest 😂 life in general took over once more with some rest in between 🥰 finally feeling recuperated and hope to stay at it this time 😂

But it feels good to finally be back painting 🎨🖌️

Another piece ready for a refresh 🖌️🎨

Really solid unit and as a bonus it has lighting 👏

Would make a great drinks cabinet 😍

So this is the sideboard I had delivered last night, now ready for a make over 😍🎨🖌️

The second one is a commission piece I did a while back for a customer on a similar shaped unit ☺️

If anyone is Interested in having it Commissioned then drop me a message, it's quite a large piece so I can't hold on to it forever or it will have to be done as a sale piece.

So much usable storage on this one, would be perfectly used as a drinks bar with the pull down cupboard section at the top.

And we have the second finished piece of the year! Just in time for the end of January 👏👏👏

Obviously using my favorite combination of Fusion Mineral Paint UK colours in Ash and Algonquin 😍

Well what a week 🤮🤧 The Illness has passed through the whole house, unsure what illness exactly but my god it's been a rough week all round 😔 don't think I've felt so unwell since I had Covid and I can't beleive quite how much I've had to sleep. It's just been one thing after another.

I last posted on the Monday of last week full of positivity and motivation for the week ahead 🤣 who was I kidding? Should have touched wood 🤦🏻‍♀️

I was aiming to finish and show you all the latest piece but that went to S**T and I'm just now getting back into my workspace to finish off.

So anyways today the aim is to finish the last touches on this chest done and ticked off so I can finally photograph it and I've just stuck some paint remover on a desk top that needs stripping of it's old paint for a commission piece. So I'm gonna have fun scraping that off later 🤣

Not feeling 100% but with a bit of PINK blasting on the speaker I've got this! Hopefully done in time for a hot bath before the school pick up. 🛁

OHHHH also I have a piece of furniture being delivered this evening to add to the inventory which I'm excited to show you all. It will be available for commission so if you're interested in a sideboard commission keep an eye out for that 😉

Happy Monday 🤗

I've loved Monday mornings for ages now, it's all about the mindset. Start of a new week, new possibilities, fresh week to be productive and get my s**t together 👏

Even if it now means I'm at my employed job on a Monday and not really getting my own s**t together but someone else's 😂 but being up ready, out and productive certainly gets me in the swing of things for the rest of the week.

I do love Fridays when they come around and I know it's the weekend (that's if you can call it a weekend) certainly never a relaxing one. I'm sure for most of us weekends are busier than weekdays 😂

Housework, endless washing, kids to entertain and being the referee for all of their arguments and just in general tying up loose ends from the week before always seems to be on the agenda

So yeah the weekend doesn't give me the same satisfaction and motivation a Monday offers knowing I've 5 days to smash the weeks goals.

Hope you all have a super Monday and get your own goals ticked off and tomorrow I'm going to be showing you the latest project it just needs some minor finishing touches 😄 x

As usual Fusion Mineral Paint UK colour Algonquin doesn't fail to make me happy 😍 My all time favorite colour to wash over sanded back wood.

Who doesn't love a productive early morning, coffee in peace, nice hot bath, 3 loads of washing done, sink empty and ready for a day of furniture after school run 😁😁

I can't say I had fun trying to get photos of this one with the mirrored back, no body needs to see my Sunday face in the mirror reflection so no straight on photo today 🤣💀

Maybe one day I'll master the art of editing mirror reflections but today is not that day.

I also hate how colours can look so different on each device so I never know what you all are actually seeing 🙈🤣

This piece actually dates back to 1905 after a little research.

It's super cute and quirky, definitely not a run of the mill coffee table. The grain is beautiful on the top and showing through the paint.

So I need a little help? Not the best photograph as the weather's grim so lacking natural lighting but wanted to show you it in a 'finished' state to help me decide next steps 🤗

I often just go with the flow when creating pieces but this one has stumped me I've gotten to this stage and absolutely can not decide if it needs something more 🤔 or is less more in this case.

Had a lovely Christmas and New year with my loved ones but I don't even get how it's already the 11th of January and I've only just yesterday picked up the paintbrushes 🤣
