Just a quick reminder that there is no Oast festival this weekend. We've seen a couple of places advertising it that are outside our control so please don't travel if you were thinking of going!

There is a beer festival at the Frog and Toad pub in Gillingham this weekend if you're looking for something locally.

An Update from the Organisers:

Unfortunately the Oast festival won't be taking place this summer. We know this news will be disappointing to everyone who has supported us in the past but with changes to key members of the Oast team the resources to put on a festival in June are not available. We are looking into the possibility of arranging something later in the year and will keep you updated with any news.

Great to see so many people at the 2022 Oast festival. We've had lots of people back for a second day. Beer and ciders are going fast but we still have plenty to try!

Fantastic day yesterday, thanks everyone for coming. If you are coming today and have a folding chair feel free to bring it to be guaranteed a seat, we do have tables and chairs available but most were full yesterday.

Although not listed in the programme we do have Salted caramel cider and Rosé wine available. The Running Man beer has sold out but we still have 30 other beers for you to enjoy as well as the fabulous food from Tick Tocks.

Look forward to seeing you from 12 today!

If you've not ordered advance tickets we have them available on the gate and payment with cash or card

23/06/2022

As a quick reminder it's important to be aware that the festival is over 18s only so no children are allowed. Also we're unable to have dogs on site due to the space available.

The festival will accept cards as well as cash this year to pay for entry as well as drinks tokens.

The car park is being prepared and the marquee is being setup for the festival today so there will be some shading from the 🌞

Online ticket sales will be turned off at lunchtime Thursday so if you still want to get your advance ticket please make sure you do so before then.

If you have bought tickets online just bring the email confirmation with you. Electronic copy on phone is fine and saves paper!

Tickets will also be available on the gate.

We're pleased to let you know that payments for entry and drinks cards can be made by cash or card this year to give additional flexibility.

We've got the beer being racked ready for the first visitors on Friday. The beer list is now available to view here. A few old favourites and hopefully a few new ones that you've not tried before including a variation on the Toast to the Oast recipe.

Which beer are you looking forward to trying first?

We're pleased to announce that Tick Tocks will be providing food for the Oast beer festival. There will be a selection of savoury snacks to enjoy like pork pies and sausage rolls as well as hot dogs and burgers using meat from the local butcher. If you've ever tried the food from their cafe you'll know you're in for a treat!

15/06/2022

You've probably seen that there are train strikes next week that will be affecting the festival which rather negates our benefit of being next to the station.

If we can arrange any alternative transport who would otherwise come by train and where would you need to travel from/to?

07/06/2022

Pleased to let everyone know that the Oast festival team have been busy brewing Toast to the Oast today ready for you to drink at the festival!

Photos from The Oast Midsummer Beer Festival's post 30/05/2022

Everything is in full swing for the festival preparations. Great news today, the festival glasses have been delivered!

Fortunately this "beer" won't be on at the festival but 30 other amazing ones from different Kent breweries will be including Toast to the Oast once again! We will also have a wide range of Kent ciders and Kent wines. You won't have to drink wine from these glasses though :)

The glasses this year are etched in platinum colour to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee

30/05/2022

As well as the beer, cider and wine, an important part of the festival is the music. We've got a great lineup of bands across the 2 days. Friday music is arranged by Careful Now Promotions who organise regular gigs at the Oast.

Friday lineup features Swansea Sound, Ski Lift, Holy Reptile and Theatre Royal acoustic.

On Saturday evening we have Concrete Igloos, Something Else1066 and Ravella Bridge.

We also have the Oast community choir performing on Saturday afternoon followed by an acoustic set by Phill Vidler.
