Happy New Year's Eve, Broughtoneers!
Before the Last Hurrah of the silly season commences, Mikki and I would like to say a massive, heartfelt, thank you to all our wonderful regulars and patrons for your support and encouragement over the last eight months. It's a genuine pleasure to serve.
We want, also, to give a big shout-out to our incredible team who've worked their butts off in the kitchen, in the cafe and behind the bar.
We're closing the doors at 12:30am tonight, and taking a week off to recharge our batteries and start planning for the year ahead.
Meantime, we wish all of you a very happy new year!

Red Lion fodder notice Christmas Eve/Christmas Day:

Please note, on Christmas Eve, we'll not be serving our usual Sunday lunch. We will be providing various buffet nibbles for folks to help themselves to throughout the day, instead.

On Christmas Day our kitchen will be closed, however, we're making a huge pot of beef stew for anyone who wishes to partake.

Yes, The Very Lazy Sundays return to the Red Lion next Saturday evening (30th December). The back room was packed last time they performed here in October, so grab your seats and tables early!

Tonight we're hosting our monthly folk session in the front bar, possibly with chestnuts roasting on the open fire. Join in, sing along, or just enjoy the vibe with a drink or two...

We'll be closed from New Year's Day for a week, to give us a chance to recharge our batteries - we hope you'll understand.

Good afternoon, Broughtoneers! We're open from midday today, serving food till 8pm, and don't forget: tonight the Broughton Players are hosting an evening of festive frivolities in the front bar at 7:30pm

We had the pleasure of serving Christmas lunch to these lovely ladies today!

This Thursday night, the Broughton Players present "A Christmas Carol," an informal evening of Christmas readings in the front bar, starting at 7:30pm.

Fire's on, and we're serving food from midday today. We've got Butcombe Gold on as guest ale, too!

We are opening for lunch on Thursdays at midday starting tomorrow!

We're serving luscious grub today from 2pm - 8pm.

Poached egg, sausage & bacon, served in our cafe from 9am-1pm

If you're planning on Sunday lunch with us today, we are serving a limited run of roast chicken and pork and our new addition of Mushroom Wellington.
Serving from 1pm until 5pm, or until we've sold out - whichever happens first.

A roaring fire, acoustic bliss, marvellous company, and we're offering food from 2pm to 8pm; It's a good day to go to the Lion.

We've got live music this week from Nomads Rise this Saturday night - an acoustic duo playing a mix of classic rock & blues covers and originals.

Before then, as it's the 3rd Thursday of the month, it's time for our 3rd Thursday Folk Jam!

On today's menu we have Roast chicken, Roast Pork and Roast Beef!!!
All come with homemade Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
