Beat the heat and humidity with our Calderglen cani-hike on Sunday morning. After the first mile, we are never far from a water stop, ideal now that Junuary seems to be behind us.
Cani-hike has something for everyone. Beginners, cani-hike is a great way to introduce you and your dog to harness sport at a walking pace. Experienced canicrossers, the rolling hills of Calderglen are great for building strength ahead of the new canicross season.

Hi π I am Betty and I have been canicrossing since 2017 π«Ά
I attended a cani-fit taster session, as I wanted an activity to do with my energetic Lurcher, but I also wanted to something to make us feel like a team and build our bond. π€
Fast forward a few years, and a discussion with the leaders at Cani-Fit, I decided to train as a Canicross Leader.
I want to encourage people to take part in this wonderful sport. I want people to develop bonds with their dogs, look forward to coming class and getting fitter!
I thought I knew about running with dogs before the leader course, however the course opened my eyes to so much new learning.
I was able to run with my own dog previously , the Cani-Fit Leader course taught me how to teach the techniques to beginners, fitting harnesses to planning routes and delivering structured classes.
I now have the foundations of a great class, we have worked from hiking to running, and are getting fitter every week!
My own running has also vastly improved, having ran for team Scotland at Furnations and thanks to my new rescue Lurcher Beano who is a power house πͺ
I look forward to welcoming all to my classes, there will be something for everyone. The trails at Mugdock are not to be missed . Look out for my sessions on a Monday evening and some weekend pop up sessions .
You can check out our leader course here β‘οΈ
