No GP appointment needed: List of illnesses pharmacies will now be able to diagnose and treat Thousands of pharmacists across England will be able to assess and treat patients for sinusitis, sore throat, earache, infected insect bites, impetigo, shingles and uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women under 65, without the need for a GP appointment or prescription.

As from tomorrow (31/01/2024) the new PHARMACY FIRST scheme launches. This allows the Pharmacy team to advise and treat more conditions in store and may avoid a trip to the doctors.
