Protein is the made up of Amino acids, amino acids are categorised as Essential and Non essential.

9 of the Amino Acids are essential which means they aren't made by the body and we need to get them through our diet.

The rest are non essential which are made by the body as the by product of carbohydrate metabolism.

Give this one a go when you're next in the gym.

This AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible) will really test you whether you're experienced or a beginner.

To do this workout you must complete the reps/times for each exercise before you move onto the next one, once you have finished the last exercise this is 1 round, start again at the beginning and go through again.

Complete as many rounds as possible. Rest when you need to but try to not rest for a long period of time.

As always make sure you follow this workout with a warm down, static stretches work best. this will help bring your heart rate down.

Carbohydrates or Carbs for short, are a main nutrient that we find in food and drinks.

They can be found in a whole range of foods but the most common are Potatoes, Oats and Pasta.

Are they bad for you?

Nope, they are extremely useful in our diet as they provide energy (Sugars and Startches) and they provide fibre so we can go to the toilet comfortably.

This easy to follow workout is designed for everyone of all abilities.

If your fitness level are already good then go for the exercises in bold, if your fitness levels are really good or you find the exercises easy then do the progressions exercises and if you're new to workout/coming back from injury/have low fitness levels work through the progressions.

The warm up is meant to be done at 50-60% and is just to get your muscles warm and your blood pumping. Use regressions if you're not comfortable with these exercises

Jogging on the spot regression - Walking on the spot raising your knees as high as they go with each step

Bodyweight squats regression - Use a chair for assistance

Jumping jacks regression - Arm movements only

The main workout is an EMOM or Every Minute On the Minute.

Each exercise should be performed for a full minute as many repetitions as possible before moving on to the next one.

On minute 5 you rest for the full minute before starting at the first exercise again. Do the circuit 3 times for your 15 minute workout.

The warm down is just to help you're body bring your heart rate down and to help remove as much lactic acid from your muscles as possible.

Stretch the main muscles in your body

Hamstrings
Quadriceps
Chest
Shoulders
Back
