Terracotta sprouters are breathable making an ideal environment for germinating seeds. These 5 day old Alfalfa sprouts & 12 day Pea microgreens grown in our terracotta sprouters are looking really healthy!

*Growing Methods*

PEA
- Soak 1 heap TBSP of pea seeds overnight.
- Presoak the clay tray for 30 mins
- Spread the organic seeds evenly on the tray & cover with lid. Place the tray over the bottom tray.
- Spray the seeds with water once a day.
- Once the pea shoots push up the lid, remove the lid and place the sprouter on a window cill.
- At this point, you can rinse and drain the microgreens under the tap.
- They can be harvested from 12 days.

ALFALFA
Day 1- Presoak the clay tray for 30 mins
- Line the tray with a cellulose paper disc
- Spread a 1 heap TBSP (for shallow tray) / 2&1/2 TSBP (for taller tray) of organic Alfalfa seeds evenly on the tray.
- Spray the seeds with water,  cover with lid & place the tray over a bottom tray.
- Continue spraying the seeds once a day.
- Day 4, you can rinse & drain the sprouts under the tap, once a day.
- Day 5 - Uncover the lid and place the tray near window cill to green up the sprouts before harvesting.

🌱NATURAL DYE RESULT🌱. Some eggs came out very vibrant from the dyeing, especially red cabbage and red onion skin. Who would have known red cabbage leaf dye would turn out blue!!

How to Natural Dye with Vegetables:
💙BLUE dye- Boil 5 cut red cabbage leaves, 1 litre of water & 1 TBSP of vinegar for 20 minutes. Soak boiled eggs in the liquid for 24 hours.
🤎DARK BROWN dye- 4 red onion skins, 1 litre of water, 1 TBSP of vinegar. Soak eggs in liquid for 24 hours.
💚GREEN- Boil 5 cut red cabbage leaves, 1 heap TBSP of ground turmeric, 1 litre of water & 1 TBSP of vinegar for 20 minutes. Soak boiled eggs in the liquid for 24 hours.
💓DARK PINK- 3 beetroot, cut into large chunks, 1 litre of water & 1 TBSP of vinegar for 20 minutes. Soak boiled eggs in the liquid for 24 hours.
