Brilliant news to share that we have managed to secure 😉...see what I did there....sponsorship for both the home and away kit for the coming season. I've been working at Benweldsecure Ltd who are part of the Surelock Mcgill group, since September last year and since joining have loved getting to know all the team and we really have a good group of people working there, so will be a pleasure to have the company name on the players shirts. 2 games into our higher division. 2 very hard fought games and close results. 1 win and 1 loss in 2 very competitive games shows we deserve to be at the level we are playing now. Player of the Week awards for and and goal for ⚽️ keep fighting stars. Everyone is so proud of you!

We've just had confirmation that this crazy bunch have just achieved promotion into the next division up after going unbeaten in the 1st 8 games of the season. Of course its non competitive at their age and its never been about the results for us. If you have ever had the pleasure of watching this group play you'll know its as much about giving these kids a chance to fall in love with the game and have as much fun as possible and feel part of a team. If any team is an advert for sticking at it when everyone else doubts you its this team. We were admittedly the lowest ability/confidence of the 6 Kewford Teams at our age group in the beginning. But with this promotion, which each of them has played a part in. They now sit alongside 2 of the other teams in the same league which is massive for them.

Division 5 to Division 4 is by no means the Champions league of their age group but it shows in 2.5 years the growth and journey they have been on and they deserve all the praise they get!!

Great Start Stars!! 🦅🇳🇬⭐

What a week it's been for our Stars. 2 friendlies this week which resulted in 5-1 and 7-0 wins. In this team the result has never mattered as we have been all about developing the players and just wanting them to enjoy it. Whilst some teams were winning games by this margin from the off, we have had to work hard for 2 years to get to this point. The players have exactly the same positive attitude whether they win lose or draw. Manager Will and coach Wayne are so proud of the teams development over the past 2 years and are really looking forward to our upcoming 3rd Season in the SDYFL.

Such a pleasure to coach together. We've both got eachothers back and have a such a laugh doing so. Even when we feel like pulling our hair out. It's right what they say that through grassroots football you gain friends for life..

Such a lovely surprise to be awarded this shield , but fully deserved for all these players who have grown so much in the 2 years we've been together...from the double figures losses week in week out these kids have never stopped smiling and worked so hard on their football. They are an amazing group of little people all with their own different quirky personalities but when then come together as a team they are a force to be reckoned with.

They are a joy to coach and days like this are are a reminder why we do this to see the smiles on their faces.

Topped it off with a 2-0 win in a friendly afterwards too.

Today was our first game back after Lockdown 2.0. To say this was our 1st football for a month, due to the bad weather meaning we had to cancel training yesterday... I couldn't be prouder of the teams spirit and effort. The result didn't go our way but it was a very hard fought game that was really close until midway through the second half.

Another league game today against Wombourne Allstars Football Club. As always when we play these guys the game is played in the right spirit and a great atmosphere. Today saw Kewford Stars pick up our 2nd win of the season. Some great team play today from the stars which shows the excellent work they've been putting in, in training . A 1st league game today for he fit straight in and we are looking forward to seeing his progression when we are allowed back out there on the field. Its a win tinged with sadness as it may be our last game for a month at least but it was nice to bow out with a much deserved win.

Another excellent morning for our Kewford Stars this fine Sunday Morning. A tough test against a physical side, this time last year our players would've gone back into their shells. Today was a sign of how much they've grown as a team. They stuck to the task and gave the other team a game that in the end finished with defeat by the scoreline but a victory in so many other ways. The other team only put the game to bed with 2 minutes to go and with the chances we had a 3-1 loss was not a 2-2 draw by the finest of margins. They all did themselves proud today and the management team couldn't be happier.

A tough game today for our stars, yet not one of them stopped trying or stopped running and putting in maximum effort. We kept up our record of scoring in every game this season so far which is a massive improvement on last season.
