Personal Assistant to The Chief Executive

We are looking for an experienced Personal Assistant to provide Secretarial Services to the Chief Executive and Finance Director for the Bradford Children’s Trust.

Who is capable of making decisions on monitoring and delegation of routine enquiries and the general interpretation of the Chief Executive and Finance Director priorities and taking initial action on such matters which require immediate attention in the absence of the post holders.

You will assist in developing and managing office systems, including ICT and processes for enquiry handling but must work with a degree of independence and initiative, and with minimal supervision demonstrating tact, initiative and diplomacy in the performance of duties.

Key Responsibilities

• As a primary point of contact for the Trust, handle and if appropriate, redirect any personal callers, prioritise correspondence, e-mails and telephone enquiries to relevant areas within the function or other Departments of the Trust or Bradford Council.

• To prepare and type confidential correspondence, documents, reports, letters, minutes of meetings etc, draft and initiate correspondence as required.

• To organise appointments in the Chief Executive and Finance Director’s diary, arranging and administering meetings and interviews etc.

• To keep under review office systems, information and communication systems and make developments/recommendations as necessary.

Previous experience undertaking duties as a Personal Assistant or similar role to a Director or equivalent senior manager within the Council, Local Authority or Public Service Organisation is desirable.
