Tutors - Maths, English and Science (Saturdays)

BECOME A TUTOR:
Tutors required to teach Maths, English or Science (KS1-4) to a small group of children at our learning centre in Leeds (LS8), Bradford (BD7) and Huddersfield (HD1) as part of a community-based learning initiative.

1–3 hours of your time will be required every Saturday.

BENEFITS:

REQUIREMENTS:
1. A valid DBS (less than 3 years old). If you do not have a DBS, we can help you apply for one.
2. A passion and willingness to work with children.
3. PGCE students/graduates are welcome to apply.

What is a Leap Year?
The Earth takes 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 56 seconds to orbit the sun. This “sidereal” year is slightly longer than the calendar year, and that extra 5 hours 48 minutes and 56 seconds needs to be accounted for somehow. That’s why we have an extra day in our calendar (29 Feb) every 4 years. However, it is not always EVERY 4 years. If the year is divisible by 100 and not divisible by 400, then the leap year is skipped. So, next time a leap year will be skipped is the year 2100.
